Just wondering,
Why men don't put the same importance to marriage like women.

They don't get all panicky or worked up when their mates are getting married, neither do they trick women into marriage.

In fact they feel more pity rather than jealousy for fellow guys getting married.

WHY?

I said not as much as women. For women it starts earlier and people believe that at a certain age a woman has almost no chance of getting married while a man can marry and have kids even at 70.
So tell me who had more pressure to marry at a certain age?

Women lose their ability to have children at a certain age, men do not. So the pressure is automatically on

In the beginning, women get more disapproval for remaining unmarried

But as they age, unmarried men are also looked down upon. A man who has refused to marry, especially a Nigerian, is seen as irresponsible, useless and ultimately a shame to his family

Unmarried people are treated with disdain in general, just that women are the first to face the "heat"

About the "panicking". Women do not like feeling left out, that is just a feature of female relationships.

It can be embarrassing for some women to be the only one from their clique that has not yet tied the knot. Such women can feel like failures because they have not yet secured a fellow. And their friends/ female family members can make comments that set them on edge

Its only a lady who is really sure of themselves and their life that can resist being pained by such incidents

I don't agree, married guys even feel pity for their friends who's about to marry. They look at you like 'guy can't you see we are in hell'? It's not encouraging for unmarried guys at all. A friend just told me last night that it's when you are married, your rent is due, you just lost your job and no means of paying. That when you will know that there are two definitions of love from your wife, whatever he means, it's not a good thing at all, I don't go asking cause I don't like poking my nose in those kind of matters. And this is a girl that loved him to pieces that year, guys look before you leap, if anybody really wants you to get married give them the total bill, Nigeria is not smiling.
