Pls with this restrictions of lodging foreign currency into dorm accounts by the CBS as a result of the falling value of the naira, how else can one withdraw money from abroad? Advice needed pls thanks |

use ur visa card. but remember as an individual u cant withdraw more than 300usd in a day while abroad. |

passarella013: The new policy affected only deposits but not withdrawals. Withdrawal still goes on as usual by cash and by electronic fund transfer out of your domiciliary account. But the existing account balance before August 3, 2015 must also be withdrawn by cash only. I wouldn't know if this is CBN policy or only a GTBank guideline. |

arbitrage: Ok, i called GTbank about this; - You can still Wire/Transfer your existing balance out (I tested it, worked fine! Sent money to my account in Cyprus) - You can still Receive FX Inward Transfers I.e Wires from Other countries including Nigeria (Not tested, testing tomorrow) - You can still Make FX Sales (Working Perfectly) - You can still make transfers to your Dollar Debit Visa/Master Card (Working too) It is temporary and it would be restored soon enough.. |
