Brother to effectively answer your queshion biko we need to know your reason for travel? Is it for medical treatment , vacation or a conference?
U can get an expedited date if and only if u fall within the exceptions stipulated. U can go back like 10 pages or just google expedited appointment for US visa in nigeria.
If u go for the interview when the reason for yor travel has passed then na 'error error!!!' Be that o.

Maybe this is the reason @greengoner called you out. Everything is always well with u. The poster obviously has a reason to be in the Us on a particular date. If u had calmly analysed it your answer would have been different.
We are all here to pass time, learn and assist where we can. However we should be careful to not mislead others. If I make a mistake plz teash me o! If others teash u too mbok understand the reason.

1. Not neccessary (it only becomes an issue for baby's Birth certificate whichh father's letter of consent treats)

I have never travelled before but I plan on going for a conference in the US this December. The organizers are willing to provide me with an IV letter. What are your advices for me pls? And must I mention that I am a student in the DS-160 form since I also do business. I am into web development and social media marketing for companies and brands. I am in my early twenties. I am not married. I wish to return after my trip, because I can only run my business from Nigeria. I have a good balance in my account and will be sponsoring myself. Please advice. No point lying in your Ds-160 form, tell the truth the same way you have narrated it here, it is either you get the visa or they deny you and life still continues, if you tell one lie, you will need several lies to cover up the initial lies, and mind you, they are well trained to spot baloney.......Honesty is the best policy....

@landmark225 i wil advice u present urself as a businessman cos they respect them a lot,u also earn a good income wich wil also boost ur chance,but let d conference relate 2 ur business an also mak available d evidence of ur business wit ur statement of acc 4 ur interview,but dey wont ask 4 it,then go an read page 274 an do wat i told dmt1981 2 do so dat u can get anoda tin dat wil help u get ur visa,its well an gudluk
