Vehicles were already being assembled in igboland as far back as 1961. How did we now find ourselves in this unproductive nation called Nigeria? A great igbo nation crippled by an unproductive union. What a travesty. 6 Likes |

walemoney007:So you wanted to take along Igbos and ijaws of the old Western region isn't it? Thank God zik refused.. On the alternative he could've ceded the brass & degema provinces in return for asaba & aboh provinces, that way all Igbos would be in eastern Nigeria while all ijaws would be in western Nigeria. |

logica: That poverty is not the major rationale for emigration but the quest for economic expansion which is the hallmark of any community of people endowned with the natural and economic what it takes to penetrate any part of the world and establish. The rail tracks we are today revamping, was built by Europeans to siphon oil and other raw materials to Europe. So, Emigration is invariably not born out of poverty but economic derive. |

my nation. Do you live in Akwa Ibom State? Do you relish the desire to own your own business with little start up capital and promising returns in investment? Do you hope to look into the mirror each morning and know you are talking to the boss? Are you enterprising?/Would you love to be? Do you have an aptitude for thinking out of the box? Then call or add me up on whatsapp 08085188110. You will be glad you did |

[b] Even at the time
when universal primary education
was first introduced, the percentage
of the population over seven years
of age who were literate was higher
in the East than in any other
Region: East, 10.6 per cent; West
9.5 percent; North, 0.9 percent.
Since 1959, the East has had more
teachers and pupils than any other
area of the country, with the
heaviest emphasis on primary
education. Figures for elementary
and secondary education indicate
that the approximate ratio of
teachers to population in 1963 was
1 to every 1,500 in the East, 1 to
every 2,500 in th West, and 1 for
every 10,000 in the north. Other
statistical data reveal how rapidly
the standard of living rose among
Ibos. The East had the most
extensive hospital facilities in the
country by 1965, the largest
regional production of electricity in
the country by 1954, and the
greatest number of vehicle
registrations by 1963. The economic
orientation of the Ibos was also
reflected through membership of
credit associations:in 1963 the East
had 68,220 individual members, the
west 5,776, and the north a mere
2,407 ." ''... His source was the

The above is in conformance with the below: https://www.nairaland.com/2263635/south-east-south-west-south-south-lead-attainment https://www.nairaland.com/237534/look-going-school-nigeria-statistics This is a classic demonstration of the saying that you can't make your candle shine brighter by extinguishing another man's own. We were ahead before the war, and after the war, despite all Anti -Igbo policies the Arewa-Odua placed to hinder us, we are once again at the fore front. Igbo kwenu! 7 Likes |

collinsVP:Your argument would hold water if the Igbo similar to the colonialists you are comparing yourself to were already superior in the areas of military and organization. On the contrary the evidence shows that the Igbos were behind in those areas compared to the other major ethnic groups. But you can continue to delude yourself of superiority. It's your prerogative. It sure definitely looks like delusion when you compare your wanderlust driven by economic factors to that of the colonialists; whose was driven purely by subjugation and greed. 2 Likes |
