If the Christain Education books have been existing b4 now, its only proper to also include the islamic education as well to ensure a balance. Please, nigerians should learn to look beyond religious differences to attain national advancement.

But there are many books written and still in writing. If every leader came suggesting his preferred book to be included in our curriculum, we're in for clash of interests in the future. Soon someone will come, lobbying for Obasanjo's books to be included in our history syllabus.

These leaders should just face the business of governance and leave these issues for the relevant constituted authorities to decide.

Islamic studies has always been a Subject in all the Federal Government Colleges. I attended a federal School and I.R.S was a subject too just like C.R.S. The headline of this post is actually misleading, please take your time and read the story very well. He only called for them to "update" the text books for I.R.S in all the Unity schools in the federation. That is what I deduced from the post.
