Kossyne: Please stop trying to justify the governor's ineptitude and non-performance. So because he is from Anyigba, he should abandon the secondary school in Odu and allow it to rot totally before fixing it?? Was it only the people from his hometown that voted him into power? The governor's performance in all areas is pathetic! His Commissioner of Education should be sacked for letting this secondary school degenerate to this level, while the governor himself should be impeached! Wada has done little or next to nothing, when it comes to upgrading the infrastructure within the state. The Senators from that state have even done worse! May God deliver Kogi State from clueless, backward, inept leaders! 2 Likes |

Blames don't go to the president... Blames goes to the governors! How disheartening humans can be.... Pushing the very man that brough them democracy to the wall and voting in a tyrant that knows nothing but to travel and tour the world with no specific idea of leading this mighty country! |

laudate: I ve never been Governor Wada's biggest fan. Saying he's the worst Governor Kogi have had since the creation of the state is putting it mildly, but what I won't stand is falsehood and poor journalism. If you are going to post something on an online forum like NL at least make a research and ensure that information you are feeding people is authentic. 1 Like 1 Share |

No governor has ever paid keen attention like Capt Idris Wada of kogi state. There is no state in Nigeria where you can't find old ramshackle structures like these, but this particular school have been renovated long ago. In the same Village, government has spent over three hundred million on water supply and reticulation. This community will be hosting one of the best medical establishments in kogi state when Odu Ogboyaga Ultra Modern Hospital is completed by the end of the year. All iconic schools in kogi state have been renovated and new ones constructed. We are not surprise at the display of these out of used structure by those who wanted to used them for political gains. It's clear that in education, Wada is doing a lot, moreover, his community is not the one in the state. 1 Like 1 Share |

Kossyne: Point out the falsehood in my post! What part of it is not authentic? Is it wrong to say that he has failed in the area of education? Don't even let me go into the area of healthcare and roads. The few roads Wada upgraded, were mostly done in his area. Kogi West which Melaye represents has the worst network of roads in the entire North-Central region of Nigeria. How else do you describe a governor that refurbishes a few roads in his district and abandons any attempt to upgrade infrastructure in other parts of his state? 1 Like |

Oduogboyaga1: Oga, only 1 structure in all the photos you posted there, was constructed from scratch by Wada. The very 1st building you posted is located in Wada's senatorial district and it is an old building that was renovated, not too long ago. Most of the renovated schools are also in his area. In other senatorial districts, individuals have been constructing schools from scratch within their communities because the government has not done enough. In Kogi West, an NGO recently constructed schools from scratch in Ayegunle Gbede, Iyah Gbede and Ayetoro Gbede, all in Ijumu Local Government. |

Oduogboyaga1: Bros, you should say "newly renovated" and not newly constructed, please. While you are posting the photos, please tell us in clear terms the total number of schools in Kogi state, the total number of dilapidated buildings in each of those schools and the total number of buildings renovated under Wada's administration, in each of those schools. Also include the names of the schools and the districts where each of them are located to give people a clearer picture. Publish each of the 'before renovation' and 'after renovation' photos too, if possible. NB: Finally, include the WAEC scores of secondary schools students who passed their exams in your next post, because it is not just a few renovated buildings that determine or indicate good performance in the education sector. In 2014, only 15% - 24% of the entire batch of students in Kogi Schools that sat for WAEC/Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, SSSCE exams, passed their papers with 5 credits. I don't know if you would call that a good performance. http://dailypost.ng/2014/08/29/2014-wassce-statistics-show-states-highest-percentage-pass-possible-cause-mass-failure/ |

otunsman: From my experience in the South West, the T.V media journalist are sometimes paid by the government to cover their activities, so that medium is compromised. I do not know much about the print journalist though, but I won't be surprise is they get brown envelopes. Why would someone write about corruption when he enters a commsioner's office and is given 1 million naira cash to go aroind and cover the state. What Wada just needs to do is know the journalist assigned to cover is state and send is assocaites to give them regular salary. 1 Like |

The pictures are not the true reflection of the reality on ground. Take a careful look at the picture with the sign board and you will see new buildings with blue long span roof. The poster has only successfully gone round different schools in and around KOGI to make this story up. E.g, the old and scrapped bus in his post is standing in front of Gov. Technical collage Idah. Take a close look! My opinion. |
