Zelinjo: Why would your 17 year old brother, who is going halfway across the world to go to university, need you to attend his interview? Even if you had been allowed inside you would definitely not be allowed to be present during his interview. If he is the one going to be the student, then he needs to answer the questions at the interview. I am not sure what the problem is here. |

Hello VO, I scheduled an interview appointment for a b1/b2 visa with my family this coming Sept. The appointment was successfully confirmed. Then I noticed that the last THREE Digit of my passport number was wrongly entered... Instead of 184, I wrongly entered 148. Can this error affect our interview date? Although I sent an email to help me correct the error and they said they will attend to me within 1 or 2 business days... |

God bless the work of your hand sir! More grease to your elbow! |

dukejason: Hello dukejason, You do not need to contact the Embassy. If your mother encounters any secondary questioning at the airport, we encourage her to be honest. After all, visas are valid for two years and a lot can change in that time! Regards, Abuja NIV Team |

johnwick1: Hello johnwick1, On the contrary! Just be honest on your application and with your interviewer. If you were to lie about your parents' status, that would very negatively affect your application. Regards, Abuja NIV Team |

pricelessnikky: Dear pricelessnikky, I have no idea. Tell your sister to email either ConsularAbuja@state.gov or LagosNIV@state.gov to inquire about her specific case if she believes her application was approved (perhaps even in error). Regards, Abuja NIV Team |

Dear V.O, Thanks for the help and quick reply,i think you misunderstood my previous post though. What i meant is my expedited date is 12th (amended from 18th) but it still falls on the same date as my schools orientation. I don't think i can request for this date to be further expedited and so i was advised to look into changing my interview location to Abuja but i don't know if this is possible and if I'd even be able to get an earlier appointment in Abuja if it was. My question ma is what do you think my best course of action is now as far as getting an earlier date is concerned? Once again thanks for giving us all your audience, God bless you. |

torus: Based on the information you have provided, I don't believe this means anything. If you received a permanent ban you should have been advised of this. |
