jumpandpass: Did I just hear u say time will tell? Nah time already did. Buhari is a tribal bigot and he can't hide it. What other proof do u need when he has gone as far as voicing/acting it out. How can u make 19 appointments and 15 went to north. Even the one SW is having orgasm about is mere spokesman job.smh If you're still waiting for any magic, goodluck with that But always remember these words of mine to you: Buhari is too bigoted to make a balanced leader 1 Like |

@rose2014, I've sampled opinion in the south east, these online outbursts seem to be the product of some people determined to frustrate this government. The rest of the country are waiting patiently for ministerial appointments and there are many others coming, I do not understand why people from SE are so much in a hurry to criticize this government. Even in the last administration, Yorubas who felt marginalized had to meet jonathan formally on this issue, what happened to composure and patience? Why all the insult against the president? If it were you in power, what would you do different? All I see is Hipocrisy everywhere, it you guys are really fighting for your people, fight for equity in federal presence in the SE, political appointments from the last administration seem not to be the problem of the region as it yielded nothing in terms of development |
Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by sainty2k3(m): 6:40am On Aug 05, 2015 |
@rose2014 Just to remind you that at the beginning of your discussion u called for matured comment with no insult. However, u have succeeded in tagging some people as 'mental slaves' u called someone bigot, u spoke I'll of a whole tribe, saying they are 'high on ewedu' I could imply many other insult from ur write up and defense. But why do you have result to all this tribalistic comment , I was expecting a more matured comment from you. @Topic I believe we all need to look beyond 'our man mentality' this will take us no where, of what particularly importance was obasanjo's tenure to Yoruba as a region and what did Niger Delta achieve from GEJ as a region. If Buhari wake up today to start sharing the post one for one amidst the ethnic group, it will still not reach me for now, and of it does I'll only feel obliged to be committed to how the person succeed , and not how to gain from it so why should we be particular about which tribe. |

sainty2k3: One thing I've learned from nl is that they see what they want to see It'll do you a lot of good to go back and re-read why I used 'slave mentality' on the poster I quoted. As per bigot, let me assume you're not aware but Buhari said in his US interview that he'll love to marginalize SS and SE for giving him 5% vote but he added that the constitution has tied his hands from doing it the way he would love to. While he was making his lopsided appointments, he was asked this question around an all-inclusive govt and that was his epic response |

socialmediaman: @d bolded an average southeasterner is business minded and doesn't bother on who Buhari appoints but Buhari himself is the one trying to drive it hard to them that he hates them And online like nl, u see Yorubas taunting Igbos over the so called appointments which brings about our reaction Imagine someone said yesterday that the reason Igbos didn't say anything about this nnpc appointment is because the guy is not full Igbo but delta Igbo smh how low can people go, to make you talk If we talk, wahala, if we focus on our business, still wahala 1 Like 1 Share |

Rose2014: I understand you clearly and I agree with you completely, but think about this: they know you're not cowards or shy, they know what you can do, still they taunt you, doesn't that tell you they're feeling excited seeing your outburst? The best satisfaction you can give to someone you consider a clown or comedian is laugh at his jokes and mischief, but if you ignore him, he'll feel stupid and respect himself. |

Rose2014: Why will u say jumping up and down , who are the people that started saying he is from South south and Igbo. Who are the people that started saying he schooled in the north and has led in sokoto before, who are the people that says he's northern oil cabal candidate. So if u want to talk of jumping up and down ,everyone that has opened a thread on this topic and/or commented on any of the thread is actually involved in the jumping up and down. |

Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by socialmediaman: 8:33am On Aug 05, 2015 |
Rose2014: Yeah I quite understand, sometimes people insult me, I either ignore them or I point out to them the insult is unwarranted or unnecessary before I continue with my comment. The person quickly understands your level of maturity and stops, but if they continue, it's obvious they're childish, you just end it there, they don't worth your time, I mean, would you give attention to a mad man who talks vulgar at you on the street? Once you've made your point the first time, you move on and let the person keep ranting, even someone coming across the conversation will see the maturity there |
Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by sainty2k3(m): 8:37am On Aug 05, 2015 |
Rose2014:so this is all about your grudge with the Yoruba, u didn't see the comment of some people that the new NNPC MD is SS and not SE as divisive u see what am saying , ur hands are not clean too, when it comes to tribalism. and why did u miss out this part of Buhari's speech ''By the constitution, no state can be excluded from government, so there is no way even if I were to show gratitude to those constituencies that voted heavily for me against those that didn’t even vote for me, they have the protection of the government. And I have made an undertaking that I belong to everybody, I belong to no body. If I come clearly and marginalize a certain group because they didn’t vote for me then I have already contradicted myself and I am sure people will be quick to pick that against me.” |
Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by Rose2014: 8:44am On Aug 05, 2015 |
sainty2k3: @ the bolded, I hope you're not new on this section of nl The guys saying he's SE and not SS are still Yorubas I've compiled some of the impostors and that will be my next thread. As per Buhari, are u saying u don't see anything wrong in that statement? Did u deliberately miss out the first part of his statement? For me, that last part was added by him because he realized the first part came out so wrong so he began to correct it. Even if u isolate the last part, it still implies that he would've loved to do otherwise but for the constitution and his word during campaign. Meaning he's being compelled against his wish at this time. Now answer me in all honesty; do u think a president from a developed country can make such a statement on camera and get away with it? 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by Candyrain(m): 8:52am On Aug 05, 2015 |
sainty2k3: The deed was done in his first statement. He was only hitting the "damage control" button. A president should never say something like that. For him to say it means it's something he has thought about and it's in his mind. I can bet he didn't know when it dropped out of his mouth, he realized it and he was trying to salvage the situation. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Candyrain: Tribal bigots all over this thread and these idiotss are from the land of worthless humans called Igbos...... Am i surprised to read all these gibberish from these fools? No. Historically, the same Igbos has been selling out the rest of the South since Independence by forming political alliance with the same Northern Oligarchy at the expense of South and South West. We-Southerners all thought that we have seen enough backstabbings from Igbos until lgbos shamelessly did it again in 1979 by jumping into political alliance with the same people who bleep their grandmothers and killed their worthless grandfathers like animals they were in just concluded civil war. What a shame!!! Yorubas played opposition right from independence till 2015. Yorubas successfully formed a single alliance with the same North since independence and these useless Igbos are wailing... |
Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by sainty2k3(m): 8:55am On Aug 05, 2015 |
Rose2014: u already highlighted the first part, I'm just worried that u ignored the last part. he was responding to a question from someone who ask if southeast will be treated badly, so he simply stated political reality , but assured that the protected by constitution and by his resolution to belong to everybody and nobody which he stated at swearing in ceremony not during campaign. I think it wasn't so bad as people that pick the first half of the statement ignoring the other, the full length of that response needs to be considered. I love it that people are critisizing this government, but let's discourage insult and tribalism. |
Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by Rose2014: 8:59am On Aug 05, 2015 |
GentleToks: Is that why they're having orgasm over spokesman appointment as against 15 sensitive appointments to the north? Is that why they're rubbing it in our faces that they are mere commisioner? Looking at the bolded, was Obasanjo an Igbo abi Hausa man? 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by texazzpete(m): 9:01am On Aug 05, 2015 |
The OP is just a deluded fellow. True, patriotic Nigerians do not seek validation or self-actualization just because someone from their tribe who they do not know, and who does not care if they are alive or dead is appointed into any position. True Nigerians want the best people for the jobs, appointed with MERIT as the sole criteria. Counting appointments at this stage is just laughable, when the bulk of the appointments are yet to be made, and when a significant restructure of our establishments is rumored. I wish the OP would tell us what exactly changed in her life from the people appointed from her tribe in the last administration. Does my life change one day if someone from a village near mine suddenly gets appointed as NCC director? Sane minds are worrying about how to build their nation and we're still getting mired in this level of discourse. in 2015. Pathetic |

texazzpete: I completely agree with u but This advice is for our Yoruba brothers An average Igbo man is racking his brain on how to deposit/transfer dollars to china for his container on the high sea It's Yorubas that are dancing up and down over spokesman job Oh I forgot, Buhari didn't even help with his 5% statement Or are u preaching I should be more patriotic than the president himself? 1 Like 2 Shares |

Re: NNPC Appointment: Before We Forget by sweetgala(m): 9:27am On Aug 05, 2015 |
socialmediaman: The SS and SW have no composure or tact politically. Theybare disorganized and ethnically preoccupied so when someone is making some progress they use their ethnic and bigoted shades to view it. Before the election. I had Igbo and fewer SS associates on FB and social media promising to do all they can to reelect GEJ and frustrate Buhari. All they are practicing now is politics of bitterness. In the SW and North GEJ got some support but the SE/SS just feel they were cheated by the nation , but GEJ committed the great error of boasting he can win election with thses two areas alone , he did say SE is his engine room. Idiot ! Who puts his maximum effort into green zones he is guaranteed to win already |

sweetgala: So it was all about the grudge against Igbos? I actually agree with u on the bolded tha GEJ didn't need any campaign to win SE Even though he didn't build the so called 2nd niger bridge, we still voted him And if the election is repeated today, he'll still win so he didn't need to campaign in SE cos We see him more as a brother However GEJ didn't put his maximum efforts on SE(I wish he did) rather he put it on the north. He did everything for them but unfortunately for him, they still voted him out |
