Hello everyone!
First of, a very BIG congratulations to all new mums. I tap into that grace of safe delivery. grin
I stumbled upon this thread 4 days ago and read thru from part 1 (and boy what a read! *whew*).
I am an expectant (first time) mum and always had that dream of giving birth in the US, but I wanted to go about it right so my embassy trip doesn't turn out to be a futile and emotionally draining effort (VISA rejection and all). And I learnt a whole lot. Thanks sooo so much for all your selfless contributions.
Unfortunately, I won't be using the US this time around cos I'm 27weeks gone already and I haven't even started the VISA application process!
Defo for my next babies.
I only wish I got to know about this thread weeks earlier sad

If you actually read this thread from part 1,you will know you still have time to put things together except of course if money is not readily available. Some airlines allow you travel at 36 week so start now.......wish you luck

i entered through uk=BA.I informed the officer that am ere for vacation and to give birth. So he repeated by saying to give birth? i said yes and that ve i informed the embassy. So he asked that what was their response and i replied him.

The officer went away with my passport for 2mins and came bk stamp me in without any limitations on number of month in the US

Congrats on your successful POE but there is absolutely nothing like no limitations on a visiting visa. Only immigrants and United States citizens have such privilege. When you are less busy you can find out your limits here:

Hi Bsharon,

I'd like to know as well as I'd be using her in the next couple of months. Would be nice to know what I'm coming up against

Thanks a bunch

Hi Bsharon,

Did you eventually use Dr Amajoh?

If yes, please can you give a breakdown of how much you finally paid?

Hey peoples....

Congratz to all those with successful POE stories. Here is another successful Houston POE

My wife traveled last week, flew united airline direct to IAH (had already bought the ticket before I found this forum and heard all the Houston wahala).. didn't want to change it tho cos she traveled with my Mum and Dad. I guess this was what made her POE easy cos it was smooth sailing all the way for them. Her fit to fly was requested for @ MMA II and she submitted a photocopy (traveled at 31weeks and she wasn't showing soo much)...
In Houston, the
CBP officer just glanced at the them and asked if they were all together
My Dad :Yes, *pointing* thats his wife and daughter (since the surnames were d same on all passports) .
CBP: flipped thru my d passports and I guess he saw they had been to houston severally (i.e my parents, my wifes was a 1st timer) and asked how long they'd be staying this time.
My Dad said 8 weeks and then the guy just took their fingerprints and stamped them all in. (I guess he didn't notice d baby bump)
No sec. inspection and in agriculture they were about opening their luggage for checks when the official there told them to just go.. (with all the foodstuff my mum packed)... wink cheesy

seems like we have been having a lot of good stories from the houston poe nowadays, is it that they have relaxed or people just don't want to share their not-so-good stories..??

To all expectant mothers:you are in our prayers, you'll definitely experience the joy of carrying your LO's IJN

.......with no additional/surprise bills oh.... grin cheesy cheesy

how are they not straight forward?isn't better to send ur records n dey review to know if they can take you get here.besides if your records are comprehensive enough you wouldn't need to redo them....unless I'm missing something.
