Manonamission: Abeg cool down o.... I was saying that there are bargains to be had and money to be made on other stocks (not just the usual suspects). Born2berich: I took a note of Forte Oil. The margins were not as juicy as PZ for this week but I have had my eye on it for yonks and I watch it like a hawk. I am still kicking myself for missing the opportunity to grab some when it was circa N150. The stock had taken off by the time my dough was ready. Finally, I have always been female o...ALWAYS. No Bruce Jenner/Caitlyn sex change operation going on here. |

myjoy08: Please, what will be the impact of this merger? Does it mean the power sector acquisatn has not been included in the transcorp result so far? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 10:57am On Aug 08, 2015 |
mercylicious: Sister Mercy, this means that Transcorp is taking over the power sector fully and this might likely increase their earnings and cash flow. As Oga Tony stated in his recent speech at GES in Kenya that Trancorp's mission is to provide 25% of all power generated in Nigeria. And I believe part of the mission is to merge and take over the power company fully. So waiting for his next move in Agriculture! Just my little understanding. |

Michael11stock:The message of my post is that whereas oando had failed to blast off in price contrary to our expectations since closure of cop deal, it might not be a bad idea to take position now, at present price, now that expectation of the result(s) is in the air, in case some surprising numbers should appear. After all besides crude oil, oando is the largest independent importer of petroleum products and must have benefited maximally from the recent heavy FG subsidy payouts. I did not, however, mean to coax you, or any, to buy. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by zendi: 1:38pm On Aug 08, 2015 |
Agbalowomeri:But, may people in the know kindly explain, regarding this oando hedging thing. Does it mean some customers are committed to lift their products at $65 for the hedge period regardless of how low crude oil digs? Pls note I'm not an oando fanatic. I have only recently taken some token position, just to see how things pan out around this August. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by davide470(m): 6:48pm On Aug 08, 2015 |
zendi:That's the risk involved in hedging. You gotta stick to the contract. Before the hedge really took effect as against the downward price movement of crude, they were selling at a loss when compared to the price as at Q1-Q2:2014, but it's paying off now. I see the price getting to at least 15 within the next 3 weeks. Caveat Emptor |

This question goes to everyone. What rate will be reasonable to give someone for his investment of about 5M yearly or quarterly? Someone wanted to invest in one of my business, so I was wondering the rate that will be suitable for both parties. I am actually looking at the rate of TBill to offer. I really need your advise.
