I'll prefer Mata---Herrera---Depay... Schweini and Schneiderlin as holding midfielders

In your Trident, Mata is still a winger which isn't good for the team. Even with your setup, if Mata is moved in, Ander can't be an effective winger- so that trident won't work. If we must play an SCH or an SCH-Carrick midfield, i prefer Herrera as my AM because he shots and tidies better than Mata and scores too. But if mata must play, then Young should be benched.

I know it's just one match but what I saw is that Romero has a better command of the box than DDG. He also read situations better. DeGea greatest weapon is his reaction and he doesn't vomit low shots. Romero also gave signs he has so much part of that.

There was a ball that was going dangerously across the goal to two Tottenham strikers. Romero first waited if someone would have an attempt on goal, when no player touched the ball, he dived slightly to take it from reaching the two strikers. That comes with lots of experience and intelligence. We should never buy a young keeper again.

His off the goal line movement was admirable and delightful.

I wondered if this is the goalkeeper that was said not to be good. From comments here, I wrote him off.

I hate it when you just jump into an argument with the idea you're in the know... With respect to our RW/RWF, who in our current setup would you have over Mata? Young and depay are both suited for the left wing, so that leaves Valencia who is more or less a backup for Damian, Januzaj is still learning his trade as with Perreira... Mata is best as an AM but for now(pending when we get a better right winger) he has a job to do on the wings...

we're already playing 4-3-3 that has a variant of 4231 and 4411 according to LvG with Depay as one of the 3 midfielders.
