You didn't get the message. He is one of the humble pastor on earth. He is challenging members of the church to win souls through aggressive evangelism to have millions of convert credited to their account in heaven. The more spiritual children you have the richer you are in the sight of God . The converts becomes your spiritual children honouring you always.

In the context of what he said he actually sees himself as their father. This is not consistent with christian doctrine. There is only one father in the church and He is God. Even Jesus did not call his diciples children rather he called them "brothers". In other words equals.

The growing personality cult in RCCG is often comparable to what is happening in North Korea. GO is often considered infallible - more like the pope. It is even now so riduculous that so called RCCG faithfuls adore their houses with potrait of Adeboye - often considered so powerful to ward off demonic presence.

The same thing Pastor Adeboye is boasting about is what Apostle Paul avoided throughout his ministry. When men tried to worship him, he tore his clothes and said to them "I am just a man like you" ( Acts 4;14 -15). Paul did not want to be seen in this light of "I am your father."
