Obiwann thank you very much jarry, again I'm surprised I didn't find this polymer science on the daad website, is it that I didn't check well? Or daad hasn't been updated for a while?thanks anyway. Hmnn, as regards the chemistry stuff my brother just as cindino guessed I have passion for chemistry, that's the main reason I chose chemical engineering, but to my amazement chemical engineering is way different from chemistry, it is more of thermodynamics, calculus, plant process design, heat transfer, etc. But the second reason I thought I could also apply for chemistry msc is that options Were few, thanks for this polymer info. |

Hello house, I don't know if here is the right place to ask my question, cos I tend to see only questions and answers for students... I want to book an appointment for business visa and no date seem to be available, my invitation is about to expire. Any idea on how I can book a business/schengen visa appointment with the german embassy. Thanks in advance |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by lmuhopeful: 6:34pm On Aug 10, 2015 |
ogagaejay: You can enroll in another school even after accepting an admission. In fact some schools ask you not to reject any other offer until you arrive in Germany and enroll at your choice school. If you know that you are only interested in Hesse, and that you can fulfill all their enrolment requirements at the school in Hesse, then you can bone TUM. However if you are still unsure about where you will like to attend or whether you may not fulfil Hesse's requirements, then I suggest that you accept TUM's offer: you won't lose anything by accepting the offer and not enrolling. The institution is bigger than you and they have made room for candidates that are accepted but do not enroll. It is you that has everything to lose if anything goes wrong at one school and you have no fallback option. Bottomline: Accept TUM's offer! You have nothing to lose. Congratulations |

7. Warning concerning application to multiple geosciences Master programs This is especially relevant for international applicants, but it may happen to anyone. If you get accepted by multiple international geosciences Master programs at different German universities, by all means never decline an offer, even if asked explicitly to give a yes/no answer. These are all "conditional admissions" of one form or another. Your documents may be rejected in the next verification step (usually not performed by the Master program you have applied to), or you may be denied registration based on some unforeseen technicality after you arrive at the registration office. There is nothing that requires you to decline any such offer. If you decline at any point, all processing will be stopped and it won't be possible to restart it later if you change your mind. In such circumstances, students may even lose scholarships from other agencies, when scholarship award is conditional upon showing proof of registration by a certain date. Culled from LMU's Geology webpage. Just to expantiate on my previous post. The information also applies to all other programmes. http://www.en.geologie.geowissenschaften.uni-muenchen.de/academics/degree_programs/master/applications.html |

Greetings house. Please I need help here! It's almost 2weeks since I applied for an interview appointment and I still haven't received a reply from the embassy. Is this a normal occurrence or am I missing something? I actually booked an interview appointment on July 29th, via the email written at the back of the account oppenig receipt just about few hours after applying for the famous blocked account at the German embassy in Lagos. And yes! I attached the 3 required files along with my appointment request. Guys what's your take regarding this issue? Please advise.. |

Obiwannn: Thanks for the suggestion but the US med school is just too expensive and I will like to experience somewhere else and a different system. The pay is good but it takes 12 years to become a full fledged doctor in the US and malpractice suits are on the high side over there, finally debt debt debt!!! Lots of US med students are in debt. But thank you, sincerely. 1 Like |

bigzzz: Bro, some people have earlier complained about this same issue. The news is that the embassy currently has so many student visa appointments on its hands such that there are hardly any free dates. Perhaps you can call them and inquire about this so as to calm down. All the best. |

Hello house.. I have been guest on nairaland but new to this thread because of my intension of studying (masters) in Germany summer next year. Since I am starting afresh, can someone please tell me where to start reading from. I saw the first thread has date 2011 and I feel that's too backwards. |

lmuhopeful: @imunohope your advise is highly appreciated. I have accepted the offer of admission But there is still a problem, tum has asked that I make my semester contribution of 113euro with deadline of 15.09.2015. What do I do in this situation |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by ogagaejay: 8:52pm On Aug 10, 2015 |
cynosure489: That's where you should start my man, there is nothing like too backward, the details are still correct. I stayed in this thread, without contributing for a long time, but was getting all the info I needed. My candid advise is that you should read everything. Anything you need is there already |
