Anybody who still support Jonathan after hearing him say ''Stealing is not Corruption'' is either the person is Corrupt or has Corruption running in his/her bloodstream. |

Swaggzkid: Soyinka did not campaign for buhari, channel tv before election. Mope asked him who we should vote for, since he said no better candidate btw Gej and buhari, soyinka replied and said. We have other political parties and both of them are not the only ones contesting. Channel team said those ones are not popular. My bro. Dont get ur fact in politics by what u read in new papers |

I thought Goodluck Jonathan had already explained what he meant by "Stealing is not Corruption" in a live television interview featuring media anchors from premiumtimesng, channels, vanguardngr and NTA when he exposed and xrayed it in the context of Nigerian value system. Stealing is abomination in our society where those indulged in the act are severely punished and ostracized while nobody cares including the Religious bodies when someone is tagged "corrupt" in our society. Examples include open and moral rejection of gifts from thieves while such stigma is never extended to the so-called "corrupt" members of our society especially politicians However, the supposedly Intellectuals who understand the importance of context wouldn't allow that singular innocuous comment pass by because it serves well as one name given to a hated dog for a reason to hang/kill it. Poor Johnathan, a once Nigeria President of minority extraction. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

patriot4: Mr. postgraduate, if you're going to attack someone for their intelligence, at least proofread your paragraph. That said, Soyinka has a valid point, and your grandstand is no more than an attempt to challenge an intellectual, specifically for the sake of a "challenge." Stealing IS corruption, whichever way you approach it. Everything has a root cause, and for one to steal (whether by embezzlement or whatever) it requires a corrupt state of mind and affairs. Of course, stealing is not synonymous with corruption, and corruption isn't synonymous with stealing. Notwithstanding, this does not negate the sub-categorization of "stealing" as corruption. 10 Likes |

sped1oro:Your statement is foolish. Out of which heavenly authority do you judge people in such manner ? I have already given a logical explanation to why Ex president Jonathan was right. The only problem is the public which wants to turn his words against him. Also GEJ's intelligence is way above that of the average nigerian. That is why your likes don't understand a simple semantic discussion. 4 Likes 1 Share |

ramalot:I won't proof read my write up. It is only in Nigeria that people confuse "good spelling skills" with "intelligence" and "proof of education". Apart from my lack of spelling skills what holes did you find ? it would have been more useful if you had attacked my logics. You are entitled to your opinion which is exactly what you have given. And it seems to me that we ca modelise your opinion like thus: let A be a person, let B be "A is a thief", and let C be "A is corrupt". Your opinion is: (B -> C)&(not(C ->B)). 2 Likes 1 Share |

Yesterday on nairaland, I saw a post by someone named Quizmillionaire, I clicked on their signature, I landed on their website and had a live chat with a guy named John. I love quiz and trivia so much and here was a website where I can win lots of money answering quiz questions. I had my doubts as I have never come across such a gaming website before, but I decided to give it a try and in the process of playing, I mistakenly choose the 7 questions format instead of the 5 questions format I had intended. It all happened too fast and questions started showing up. The first questions were not so difficult but the final three were tough and I simply guessed right three times! A page came up that said I had just won N 200, 000. For a minute I did not know what to expect. I simply entered my bank account details in the provided field and was restless. To my utter amazement, four hours later I got a credit alert for N 200, 000! I still could not believe what was happening, I logged into my Internet banking platform and there it was! N 200, 000 credit from Aleph Intellectual Entertainment. I got a congratulatory email from them, They said they were a new skill based gaming company and that I was their very first winner. I promised to tell everybody I come across about them for a month, hence this thread. I even saw their advert on nairaland this morning. Their website is quizmillionaire.com. THEY ARE GENUINE! |

patriot4: You claim that most Nigerians are not intelligent abi? I wonder how intelligent you are to vomit this poo. I have gone through your recent posts and observed with disdain the way you attack any comment against GEJ. and defend his administration as if your life depended on it. In as much as I respect the fact that we cannot all have the same political beliefs, we cannot also become totally deaf, blind and insensitive to happenings within our immediate environment in the name of politics . No matter how hardly you try to polish things, GEJ administration was extremely loose, corrupt, rotten, and almost destroyed the country. GEJ was a punishment to Nigeria and thank God we have finished serving him. Also you tried to challenge Prof Soyinka in the use of English. This is definitely a joke so we can ignore that I believe. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Nellybii:Look, I didn't challenge soyinka in the use of english. I challenged him in the use of logics. As for being political, I am sorry, but out of both of us the most political is you. I am not blinded by anything, I am guided by logics. I like people to be given their credentials. The same way I questionned people who were saying that buhari were a terrorist. I also defended the fact that a guy who rose up to the position of major general should not be required to hand over a waec to become a candidate for elections. I have personal opinions, but I am never guided by them, by training, i learnt how to use my brain the way you use your calculator. 1 Like 1 Share |
