The senate has approved the $75m World Bank loan requested by Governor Adams Oshomole of Edo State.

The decision was taken following the consideration of the report of the adhoc committee on local and foreign debts.

The Members of the Committee include; Sen. Kabiru Gaya, Sen. Bukka Abba, Sen. David Umoru, Sen. Durofashe, Sen Emmanuel Polka, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu and Sen. Ibrahim Abdullahi.

The Senate has just done their job - they do not deserve any commendation from anybody. Edo people should monitor the use of this money in the spirit of the anti-corruption drive of the FG.
