ozycy: Av been here since April. Its like I shd pull my hair out. Go with your instincts, cos in may, I went into preterm labour with an infection gone unnoticed. had like 5 docs on my case, even from NICU! No sign, nothing! Just one day mad fever then labour pains! Imagine it happened of I was still in 9ja. Then the remaining months have been booooooring! Highlight of my weeks is antenatal. Lol So if she's staying 5mths, she must have her reasons 4 Likes |

[quote author=Tiwalope post=36881413]To the Glory of God and in Spirit of giving back to this awesome forum,we were given visa today at the Lagos embassy, our interview was scheduled for 7am. I had followed this thread since last year August and have noted every details,i read the thread @ least four times a week to keep up with new post. VO: Good morning USme,2year old Daughter and husby) Good morning sir, with a cranky smile after baby had stressed me out,she wasn't allowing her father carry her @ all VO: Ma'am,are you pregnant and are you going to America for child birth? me: Yes,i am VO: Can I have your correspondence to that effect? me: handing him over email correspondence from WHMC,DR La,letter of appointment from Dr La,payment receipt of 1500 to dr la,letter from WHMC and receipt of 2100 paid already to WHMC. VO: he looks at it critically and asked how I came about the choice of my doctor and what my doctor's name is. In between he asked where I gave birth to my daughter and I told him, Nigeria Me: I told him He came in highly recommended by my friend,he asked for my friend's name and he confirmed the name from his system and asked if her middle name was Motunrayo VO: Do u have family and friends in the US?Yes we do VO: And where do you work?told him,he asked Husby too,he told him in between: my daughter was still cranky all along and I was really really tensed and the VO kept wondering why my surname is different from my husband and daughter .He asked when we got married and we said 2012,he pointed out that m passport was renewed in 2015,so why didn't I change to my husby's surname,I told him It was stressful for me going to Abj.He said it's ok,he just wanted to understand why. VO: Alright, im gonna issue u a Visa, but make sure u pay all ur bills for ease of renewal and make sure you do not access any public funds. and he smiled brightly and told us congratulations. US: thank you and husband packed all documents displayed. Thank God for everything, and thank you all Happy for you and your family. Your honesty paid off.] |

Hello Mums, I am new to this forum and I have been able to read through to have a grasp of what has been discussed previously. I appreciate the love and cooperation you mums share on this forum and I pray God will reward our labour of love over our children. I am considering 3 locations for my birthing Colorado, Houston and Phoenix. I want to find out a few things from our experienced mums which I haven't been able to locate from reading through the threads: 1) Affordable hospitals & good Physicians in Colorado 2) how to get a Doctor's letter of responsibility from MIHS in Phoenix ( i mailed them but havent heard any response). 3) Affordable accomodation close to Oakbend in Houston These information will assist me in making my decision of where to birth my baby. Thank you in advance as i hope to hear from you soonest. 1 Like |

dear mum tee, you are welcome onboard. I have been following ths tread for sometime but hardly share my comments. MIHS is very difficult to reach. they dont pick call and they hardly reply to mails but once u get to pheonix, its easier to reach them. I dont know anything about Colorado but im sure you can get a good deal in Texas. I had my baby in elpaso Texas in April but i think more pple use Dr. Fagbohun at oakbend Medical Center in Houston. You can read the mail trail back and get more info about other hospitals in Texas. Wishing you all the best. |

shawlar:Your wife should register with uber, for now it's the cheapest mode of transport without stress. The metro buses here have specific hours it berths at each stop so not advisable. All she needs to do is Google fun places, malls etc close to her location and the uber driver will always locate her via gps for pickups and drop offs. She shouldn't wait for her contact to take her sightseeing, they could be very busy. I hardly see my host in days despite we live together. I have visited houston zoo, the galleria and so many shopping malls here that my host that has lived here for over 15 years hasn't had the chance to visit Could be very boring and the sun/heat gives no room for street walks. Sun goes down from 7:30pm so walking in malls is the ideal way to exercise for now which I do daily. Let me suggest places for her; the galleria, West Oaks mall, West chase shopping center, houston zoo, houston museum and aquarium are also close to the zoo, memorial city mall etc. She can use GPS to locate their exact miles/minutes drive from her location to have an idea of the distance cost. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
