scrollmeout:Try to contact the school, they will tell you that international students can't apply directly. Am not promoting any agent oh just helping so the mod should take note, try PFL or BCIE but once contacted the sch & they refer me to PFL. Go for a 2years course which will enable you for PR or 489, you can also merge 2 cert course just to meet the 2years requirement for PR. There is opportunity to work for 40hrs every fortnight & unlimited time during break. After getting your PR, you can further for MSC using your naija certificate at a lower rate as well as doing it online. 3 Likes |

standupguy:Under Streamline Visa Processing, applicants are required to pay a deposit of $12,000.00 in order to secure their place. This $12,000.00 will come off the total tuition of $24,000.00 leaving a remaining $12,000.00 to be paid. At SkillsTech it is their policy to charge a non-refundable deposit of $12,000.00 for Streamline Visa Processing Applications. If your Visa is refused by immigration, you are eligible for a refund. I hope this helps? |

Pmiller1: Oh it's clear, I am very ok with that. I thought they meant it as non- refundable like a visa application fee. I also looked at Victoria university melboure for the same program it's cost more there though and they referred me to pfl. Thanks men, you have been wonderful |

erictack203:If the Diploma in Nursing is package towards degree (Deakin Uni) it will be treated as SVP as for their Diploma & Advanced Diploma in engineering for international students it is treated under SVP.

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by erictack203(m): 6:46pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
Ok yes. This is fine and correct! The Student must go tru an Agent for Packaged Offer. Chisholm Liaise with La Trobe and Deaken Uni for their packaged Offers. alaoeri: |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by standupguy(m): 11:35pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
Pmiller1: Thanks everyone, I wi ldefinitely inquiry before any comittment. Another question which my little research hasn't been able to answer is, after an advanced diploma, how many years post graduate work permit can I get? I know bsc and MSc and PhD lead to 18 to 4yrs. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by alaoeri: 1:18am On Aug 15, 2015 |
scrollmeout:After paying part of sch fees which is AUD8000 & other dues, you will have to pay AUD3000 which is abt #450,000 as deposit for your packaged course, you will be given COE you won't be able to switch to another course once in Australia. Note am talking abt Diploma in Nursing packaged with degree in Deakin Uni in Chisholm which am aware don't know abt other institutions oh. The Diploma is 1.5year while the Degree is 2.5years making 4years. Next intake is February, first semester runs from February to May, second semester runs from July to October, you have the grace of July to September to pay for the second semester, if the person is very handworking & can do menial jobs there is possibility of raising the second semester fee, something close or maybe little assistant from home before the due date. standupguy:You have to go for a course which is under CSOL not just any course & at least 2years this will enable you for 2years post graduate visa. The main thing is to get to Australia first see things for yourself & set your goals, you may be lucky to be sponsore by an employer before your program runs out or you can arrange for PR while studying that's why i do advice ppl to check very well for the course they are applying for & also have a plane B i.e get your naija certificate, transcript & other necessary docs try the PR thing while undergoing your diploma program who knows you maybe fortunate. |

scholly:SVP means streamline processing visa and IOM means international organisation for immigration. They are in charge of ticketing after you've gotten your visa. |

standupguy:Getting a graduate visa with advanced diploma is a long process, almost the same as Skillselect only that its not points tested. You have to make sure that your qualification 2 years study and is related to an occupation in SOL not CSOL list and you will have to undergo a skill assessment with the appropriate assessment body. |

Hello house, I will need an advice. For a skilled 190. I sent my skills to be accessed for 5years, however they gave me a positive assessment for 4years. What is the implication? Any advice. The period for assessment from 2009 to 2014. |

Can a Graduate with Australian Degree in Nursing Qualify for PR after Graduation without any Major work exp? And also, can such Graduate apply for State Sponsorship in any Regional Area that has Nursing on their Skill Demand List? alaoeri: |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by NNBB2012: 10:55am On Aug 15, 2015 |
standupguy:If you meet Australian study requirements, that studying for at least 2 academic calendar years, you will be eligible for 18months provided your occupation is on the list and assessed as well. You must also meet Rnglish requirement. In a nut shell, if you study a course that is not on the list at Advanced Diploma level, you won't be eligible for it. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by NNBB2012: 11:01am On Aug 15, 2015 |
erictack203:Studying a course is not enough to get Australian PR, one has to earn the points to be eligible. If you have the required assessment and also the points, of course, you will be eligible. It wise to do everything necessary to boost one's points such as studying in the regional area etc. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by NNBB2012: 11:04am On Aug 15, 2015 |
prost80:The implication is that you have lost 5points from 10points that you should have got. You need to see if you still have up to the required points-60points. Basically, you need 55 points on your own and the state would give you 5points to make it 60points. |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by lawland: 11:57am On Aug 15, 2015 |
