Hi Hephzy, (ladywriter)

Good morning. I just wanted to inform you and encourage others on this thread.

To the glory of the Most High God, this is my second week on Freelancer and two things happened this morning.

1) I just closed a $20 project for a one page document on facial treatments
2) I won the bid for another $166 creative writing eBook project this morning on Freelancer!

It is amazing! I have prayed and told God I will take Freelancer seriously and let Him bless the works of my hand. I even fasted before you put up this post and it was like you were the answer to my prayers.

From looking at your own profile and reading your two eBooks (on article and eBook writing), I wrote a sample eBook on Health Benefits Of Tomatoes and added it to my profile. I also looked at the profile of a couple of freelancers who were winning projects consistently and tweaked my own profile. Then I started bidding on eBook projects.

One eBook client with a £271 (about $430) project has contacted me to edit a 100 word paragraph and I her gotten back to her. By His grace, she will approve my bid for her project.

I made a mistake on my second project. The client is owing me $8 for writing a total of four 1000 word articles. I was ignorant and did not understand how to set milestones. He capitalized on this and took advantage of me. He has not returned my emails. But I got wise like a serpent and read your previous thread:https://www.nairaland.com/1833989/how-make-1000-month-writing. Now, all my subsequent projects are negotiated with milestones.

Please, if you decide to work online, be persistent and excellent on your work ethics. Never do lousy, mediocre work and expect full rewards. But never also leave the God factor. And when you earn income, distribute to the orphans, widows and the helpless around you without expecting any reward.

Earning an income on Freelancer is REAL.

I have to get to work now. I have a very busy day! smiley

Off head. Also research on the internet to authenticate your facts.
@JSayin: what do you use as your profile picture? an image or your real picture?

I verified my Freelancer account with access bank visa card. Tried to open a payoneer account but I don,t have any ID, apart from Permanent voters card, which it rejected. So can I get payment with my access visa card or must I get the payoneer card?

No. You cannot withdraw to your access bank visa card. The only option left is a domiciliary (dollar) account. You can withdraw to your dom acct. Why not try and get the required ID for your payoneer card. It is easier and cheaper using the card.

No. You don't need to design a cover design except the employer request for it and that will attract more money. You don't even need to do it yourself. I have accepted e-books project with cover design before. What I do is to outsource the cover design on Fiverr for $10 (with stock image). But most employer only need the content.

I was thinking? Nigerians are not nice people. If she was really making the kind of money on freelancer.com pr upwork.cpm she could use to buy cars she wouldn't tell anyone.

The money she plans to make is the money she would charge you for helping you open a Payoneer account. that is if she would genuinely do it because fake ones are every where. and again she is not the owner of that car.
fabiano09:

See this nitwit, mumu am on freelancer, fiverr, etc,u knw wat am saying is true, why are u so hellbent on defending her,i have said my bit,any1 whos phoolish enough to pay to learn hw to mk money on fiverr n freelancer, well they are on their own.

I think I now have time for you all. Why the silence? Have you run out of vile, bile and ignorant hatred or have you all secretly registered on Freelancer? Lol. Have you all opened a second NL account for use in asking questions here? SHAME on all of you for trying to bring down a good Samaritan. Despite your accusations, she has continued to put food on a lot of tables. Okay maybe you are not responsible for the tables in your houses, still that doesn't give you the right to spew thrash. Get a life and be a better person.

To all who genuinely want to succeed in life no matter the venture, you only need to kill the type of mindset exhibited by the fellas above. ALSO, ALSO, MOST IMPORTANTLY, FLEE from such people. The negativity that oozes from their personalities is contagious.

Please do you know about Magento, got a job to move some pics from eBay to the site, but I haven't used it before. $500 is involved.

Yes, please start bidding. Your money will be with FL until you are ready to withdraw. Bid and proposal writing are the same on FL. All the best!

Lady Writer I must say you are doing a great job Please I need your guidance am an Online writer, researcher and data entry specialist both on Elance and FL

My Questions

1. On Elance am required to write a description about the milestone. For example As an " Online writer" what should I write? and what date should I fix?, is the date(on the milestone drop down) suppose to be when the client should pay in escrow before I start the job?

2. How do I get my money from Elance escrow to my Nigeria account?

3. How do I get my money from FL escrow to my Nigerian account?

4. When bidding on Elance "Approach to the Job" What does the client expect here?

5. On Elance, how do I appropriate the hour and estimated duration for a job?

Am anticipating your swift response please.

Thanks for your help thus far from previous post on this thread.

Hi, I don't know much about Elance. I tried using it, but i was not winning projects, so I left the platform. I work on FL and Fiverr. Nevertheless, I will try to answer your questions.

1. Milestone description is all about the stipulated time you want the employer to release the money into your account. This is usually done after you've finished the project and the employer is satisfied with your work. The date is the time you hope to finish the project.

2. You can sign up for a payoneer mastercard at www.payoneer.com. You will use it for withdrawal purposes on FL. I think it is also allowed on Elance. You may need to check it out.

Another thing you can do is to read the help section on Elance. I believe you will find answers to your questions there. All the best!

Some people are using phone. But i will advise you get a laptop or desktop to make it easy for you to work. ON FL, click on the finances tab, look for Withdraw money, click on freelancer debit card and follow the instructions that follows.

@mercyland2015, you cannot know until he initiates a conversation with you. 2. You can't, until the employer decides to chat with you. 3. Click on "my projects", then "recent projects", then click on the "active bids" tab. 4. No you can't. There is no way you can follow up with the employer until he/she decides to contact you. This is why you have to write enticing proposal to attract the employer. FL blocks all contacts with employer about a year or so ago. It is well!
