Let me bring you up to speed. Goddey was called out by us on some suspicious moves on here. I had the same worries myself cos I no forsee myself travelling with this high exchange rate so I emailed the embassy to enquire their stand and they said it was ok cos plans change. Hope tht calms ur dad's worry.

How did you apply for "green card" was it visa lottery?
Anyway with that application you have stated that you wish to live in the USA.
You must work extra, extra hard on you strong ties to return home. You must convince the VO. of your return after the visit.

Yes it was by "Visa lottery", so does this qualify as a visa refusal. Because there is question in the ds-160 asking if one had once been refused a us visa and for a short explanation and don't know if I should question yes because of "visa lottery" issue (would like to know your opinion). please my other question was that i didn't see any place to upload my photograph on the form.

Hello Allen, unfortunately we do not give interview candidates prepared responses to VO's questions. All the questions asked are based off what you filled in your DS-160 form and nothing more. Go prepared and be as honest as possible while being articulate in stating your case.

One last thing, try no to be nervous, just an interview that you already have the answers to. Good luck

Good day Justwise. You're doing a great job here. I asked this question on the USA visa thread but no response.
I live in port Harcourt and will soon have to renew my US visa. I know about the dropbox option and I qualify. My question is, do I have to fill the DS160 form online before this OR do I go straight to the DHL Dropbox location with my passport and supporting documents?
Awaiting your response.
N.B. I already checked the website and it only shows the Dropbox addresses, it doesn't explain sufficiently how to go about it.

Here are the instructions from the website which seem quite clear.
You need to apply on line.
follow the visa application instructions on the U.S. Embassy Nigeria website at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/niv_appointmnent_instructions.html. [b] The CGI visa appointment website will ask applicants a series of questions [/b]reflecting the criteria for the DHL Drop Box Visa Renewal Program. Qualifying applicants will be prompted to print a letter confirming their eligibility for the program and instructing them to drop off the letter with their passport, application confirmation sheet, passport photos, visa fee receipt, and appropriate forms to one of the DHL facilities in Abuja or Lagos.
