NAF begins bombardment? Really? What's the next news? Humans start breathing Oxygen under GMB's watch? APC abeg slow down with the lies. NAF has been flying combat sorties with the Alpha Jets and F-7NI fighter jets over the skies of Sambisa forest, providing combat air support along with Mi35 attack helicopters and Gazelle Scout helicopters LONG before GMB came into power. Once again, abeg slow down with the lies and propaganda.

Targets camps where suicide bombs are produced

By Kingsley Omonobi

Forty-eight hours after President Muhammadu Buhari directed the Military High Command to ensure the end of Boko Haram in the next three months, Nigerian Airforce fighter jets recently deployed to the North East, have commenced air bombardments of Sambisa forest to decapitate the remaining terrorist’s camps and bunkers of the group.

A statement signed by the Director of Airforce Public Relations, Air Commodore dele Alonge said, “The Nigerian Military in its resolution to incapacitate and further degrade the fighting spirit of Boko Haram Terrorist Group (BHT), has carried out several bombings and air strike missions in Sambisa Forest.

“The strike missions came after several weeks of tactical reconnaissance by the reconnaissance/ surveillance aircraft.

“The air strikes carried out by F-7NI and Alpha Jet fighter aircraft, as well as attack helicopters have resulted in the degradation of the terrorist’s capabilities and destruction of some of their strong holds.

“Intelligence report revealed that as aftermath of the strike missions, the terrorists have been confined and their capabilities greatly reduced, thereby restricting their nefarious activities to small scale attacks and suicide bombings.

Continuing, Commodore Along said “The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar assures all Nigerians that the air efforts would be sustained until the Boko Haram Activities becomes a thing of the past.

He further stated that, the Nigerian Air Force with their support is ‘Willing, Able and Ready’ to meet up with current and future security challenges of the Nation.

Recall that last Thursday, the Chief of Air Staff, ordered the deployment of more fighter aircraft to the North East to help dislodge Boko Haram terrorists from the area.

Air Commodore Alonge had in a statement noted, “In a renewed drive to crush the fighting wills of the Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) group, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has deployed additional combat platforms to North East Nigeria in support of the ongoing counter-insurgency operation codenamed ‘OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE’.

“The newly deployed platforms include the F-7Ni fighter (supersonic) aircraft, Mi-24/35 attack helicopters, Augusta 109 LUH, Super Puma Combat Support helicopter and ATR-42 surveillance aircraft which hitherto had been away for scheduled maintenance”.

Continuing Alonge said, “The provision of additional platforms in the North-East is in line with President Mohammadu Buhari’s mandate to bring an end to insurgency in the North-East.

“The new deployment is aimed at boosting existing military efforts to defeat the Boko Haram Terrorists. It is also expected to enhance the capability of the Nigerian Armed Forces to fight in a more proactive and efficient manner.”

My said buhari the great strategist, if you are a chess player I think by now you are a grand master hitting the right moves all the time by using the American style. The air force will first of all bombard them there by making the work of the army/ground troops a bit easier.

This is basically the mode of operation of US army, my sai buhari's visit to USA really yielded results and as a good strategist he denied ever getting assistance by the Americans but in reality I can see the hand work of the US, the high tech surveillance equipments all of a sudden came from where.

I see my sai buhari truly changing my beloved nation Nigeria into what it used to be.

With the current fight on corruption and boko haram going on, truly there is change going on

I see Nigeria becoming great again

God bless our gallant soldiers and there family

God bless my sai buhari

And God bless the federal republic of Nigeria

Illiteracy is a disease.

Buhari also brought the fighter aircrafts from his US trip..

Wait oo....

Are u telling me the man from Otuoke couldn't have done same and gave the orders to the Nigerian Army to completely get rid of the boko boys??

Wasn't he the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces?

OMG!!....the man was truly clueless shocked

You mean same "clueless" Otuoke man who launched a successful combined arms military offensive that destroyed Boko Haram as a cohesive organization and almost pushed it into extinction before he handed over COMPARED TO the "confused" Daura General who could not build on the success of his predecessor, leading to a spike in terror attacks (bombings and massacres) across same North Eastern region that was previously secured by the Otuoke man? Yep, that's him.

There are too many gullible people in Nigeria. No wonder the country hardly produces sound leaders. I have nothing against buhari but if some of you had taken the time to do a lil bit of research, you guys would have found that out that sambisa forest has been going through heavy bombardment right from the days of GEJ. This isn't something new.

Though, this picture is an open desert and not a forest, what becomes the fate of the Chibok girls? Have they been rescued secretly? Are they now collateral damage? God, help these poor children, if truly there are any Chibok girls in the forest as we were made to believe. The whole story by the Airforce officer without mentioning the fate of the Chibok school children leaves a big QUESTION MARK on the mind of an intelligent reader. For not mentioning them at all is atactical error that leaves much to be desired. One of the principale excuses of goverment's inability to crush the insurgents has been the safety of the Chibok girls and one wonders why the spokes man of the Airforce didn't mention them in their so-called renewed efforts at bringing down the BHT group. Big question begging for answer and explanations from Nigerians. Where are the Chibok girls? Nigerians want an accurate answer.!!!

asking where the girls are is like asking where is the 20billion dollars nnpc money dat was missing....my brother answer no dey...
