Is the idman at 46e easier to get than that at 7e? Our folks at the horn of the continent talk more on the latter, and the receive it with a 1.8m, so a 4m here should get it. Idman shows all top grade games just like duhok cos I do follow them on the net.

tried nailing paksat on 1.8m dish in maiduguri but to no avail. I guess I'll need at least 2.4m. will have to save for that.

That fec of 5/6 will make it a little tricky. Maybe tracking with another TP with a fec of 3/4 (central Asia beam ) will ease things up.

I believe with time and improvement in technology 2.4m should be able to do what these BUD are doing now. Also I think research should be on going to come out with very strong & powerful LNBF that would compensate for absence of bigger dishes - this is my wish!
