chuna1985: We do have Benin descendants in anioma but many of them migrated to an already filled igbo territory, tried to conquer it albeit failed, but allowed to live within the group. several years later their offsprings are trying to rewrite the history. If you ever visit aniomaland, you should speak to as many elders, including kings, regarding this. Many are open to speaking on it, one even wrote a book about it. It's a problem going on in aniomaland but the people with that problem the most are predominately ika and ukwani. Onitsha too but due to onitsha is in SE rather than SS, I assume the fact they around SE Igbo predominately, despite the Benin descendants have rewritten their history very well, they still hold onto their ethnic group title. That's why many advocate for anioma state very much because some believe it'll solve the disunity problem. 2 Likes |

tonychristopher: So, it can pain you guys like this? When you guys were screaming Saraki is Fulani against every iota of common sense, you guys didnt know how disgusting it was. Nonsense! In the eyes of the Yorubas, any other person from the south who is not Yoruba is ibo!! |

Ugomba: Tell your envious ibo brothers to also stop saying Kwara/Ilorin is Fulani. It's do me, I do you. There are Yoruba traces in Anioma, for your information. They are descendants of Yoruba soldiers who fought for the Oba of Benin. They can be found in Ukwunzu, Ugwuodu and Ubulubu. This we were taught in GST - Nigerian People's and Culture - back in school. How can you expect such people to claim to be ibo? Of course, they know their roots. They'll always know they have Yoruba ancestry even though they have been roundly ibonised. Tread softly. Not all Aniomas are ibos!! |

VirginFinder: You seem to be trying in vain to rewrite another people's history. You need not be bitter about the welfare and well being of another. Rather than resort to the usual futile propaganda, just be bold and state your ethnic nationality and whose interest you are pursuing. FYI, this is a free world in which you are entitled to freedom of association. You are free to merge with any group of choice. 2 Likes |

The attempt by iboes to re-write history will not stand. The areas being referred to as anioma.......were all parts and extensions of the great Kingdom of Benin ......but over the years due to the migration from the small land mass in the SE...their people have been able to migrate and because of population advantages.....they have dominated these areas and now claiming there are part of ibo land...... ....... This is why our brothers in the SS will never join their Biafra.....they would be the first to behead any ibo claiming biafraudians on their lands.....because they know that sooner rather than later.......the flat.heads will be climbing ijaw is ibo....efik is ibo...rivers is ibo...bayelsa is ibo...... .... SS.....shine ur eyes....... 1 Like |

coolitempa: You are trying in vain to rewrite another people's history with the usual propaganda and falsehood. You need not be bitter about the welfare and the well being of another. Do you even know the people you are calling 'my brothers'? Do you travel out to other parts of Nigeria to invest and establish business empires, live and mingle with them, thereby growing the economy of the locals? FYI, this is a free world in which you are entitled to freedom of association. Yorubas are free to merge themselves with Bini, Urhobo, Itsekiri and any other interested ethnic group. Yorubas should leave Igbos out of their misery! Yorubas are born liars and propagandists, who are programmed to hate by default. They are capable of criticising and lying about everything, even their tribal-marked, tiger-like horrid faces. 7 Likes |

xtrorse: That was what we were taught in school, that some Yoruba soldiers who served in the Oba of Benin's army, settled in Anioma. Ever heard of Lukunmi? They are Yoruba people from Ondo state. |
