vibrant99: Must you always comment. I'm only gonna say this once because you are someone to be ignored....teach your arrogant self to read, apply brains before typing. The title of the discussion with akagson isn't "is psychology diverse"? Every Tom, Jane and Harry know it is diverse, and it cuts across all fields and speciality. The point is is psychology beneficial to akagson in his present state as an international student coming to America. If akagson wanted to start a career as a civil servant, I don't think he would be moving to the states right now. We are talking of clinical psychology on an phd level with private practice, you are yarning nursery school psychology. Please take a seat! 7 Likes |

slimmy05: Slimy &The flint, I get you guys point and I partially agree with you. For US benefit, you have to say the oath that renounces allegiance to any other foreign country/states. That doesn't mean you lose your Nigerian citizenship and other benefits. It's like saying because naturalized US citizens recited the oath of naturalization renouncing all other countries, they are no longer Nigerians. People still fly home with their nigerian passport and have their full nigerian benefits. For some countries, if you don't officially renounce your citizenship in your home country/embassy, even if you renounce it 150 million times else where, they won't revoke your citizenship. |

Snazzygirl:Hmm.. Thank you for your candid and straight to the point answer. You know what? It's not even like Psychology is my passion or something. Let me just put it that I want an "easy way out". I was a student of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, FUTO, Owerri. I dropped out in my Yr 3. FUTO education sucked. It was hell for me. It made me hate and fear Engineering, and it also made me hate Nigerian education. When I dropped out, I started looking to study abroad in the US. I just want to leave this country for good. I feel through education will be a way out. I just picked Psychology because I feel it's a major that will not put too much stress on my brain - no thanks to my FUTO nightmare - but when I started reading about how f***d up Psychology major is, I'm beginning to have a change in mind. I have already developed a phobia for Engineering and I don't think I would love "Jesus to be crucified a second time" so I'm not looking towards Engr. lol. It's not like I'm one dunce or something. As a matter of fact, I was among the overall best three students of my set in secondary school, FGC, so I'm academically okay. My brain used to be hot, but it just feels like all has fallen apart since I got admitted to FUTO. I'll be looking to rekindle my fire, but I don't want to rope myself again with a difficult major like Engineering that's why I was looking in the direction of Psychology which I believe is an easy way out. But since I'd really love to remain in this US, Psyche is a no-no according to ya. Those courses you listed there, I'll surely look into them. They seem appealing. I'd also appreciate if you can give me more options of majors you feel is good and that I'll be interested in. Science majors would do. Thanks for showing some interest in my issue. |

Terrible flight experience. Again, I vomited when we were landing in America. The sweat all over me was like I was battered by rain. I am now researching, I can't continue this way. Say no to airsickness is crazy. Importantly, I bless God for a safe trip. 1 Like |
