When you connect with people around a shared interest, serendipitous things happen in the future. Good luck to all candidates; Please be conscious of mental and physical alertness to scale through the POST-UTME hurdle. You're probably aware of the saying mens sana in corpore sano; in my experience, it translates into most languages. Perhaps the reason for that is it contains a universal truth- there is a strong connection between the mental and physical. Exams are a mental exercise and to excel in them, it doesn't harm to think physical. Once again, good luck to everyone. And to the ever indefatigable returning students; I can't thank you enough for your indispensable and timeless pieces of advice and insightful comments you disinterestedly passed on to us last year. May your labour never be in vain. I think this is coming late from me...but I would be more than happy to expiate for this lateness. Good night to everyone. |

TO ALL UNILORIN ASPIRANTS Be reminded that "Many are called but few are chosen". At this point, you need to be very prayerful. Know that its one thing to be fully prepared for exams and its another thing to be completely favoured by the Almighty God. As you begin your post-utme exam today, I pray that Almighty Allah will make it more easier than your expectations, grant you excellent result and count you among the chosen ones. Note; -You must not forget your printout and a pen to write the attendance -You must be very punctual, at least 2hrs before the scheduled time. -You must dress decently to avoid any form of embarrassment -You should try and eat before leaving home, to avoid burnout. Alabidun Abass Adebayo wish you all success in your exams. ©A.A ALABIDUN |

As the post- UTME screening for the 2015/2016 admission exercise of the University of Ilorin commences tomorrow no fewer than 65,000 candidates are expected to take part in the week-long exercise holding in Ilorin and Lagos. A statement by the Deputy Director, Corporate Affairs of the institution, Mr. Kunle Akogun, said that candidates who scored a minimum of 180 marks in the 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and made the University of Ilorin their first choice will take part in the exercise which will be by computer-based test (CBT). In all, 73, 250 of the over 107,000 candidates that applied for admission into the University this year scored 180 marks and above at the UTME. Registration for the pre-admission screening exercise commenced on August 4, 2015 and ended on Sunday, August 16, 2015. Quoting the University Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Obafemi, the University spokesman advised candidates to bring with them to their respective centres printed copies of their examination schedules, which indicate that they are slated to write the examination at a particular date and time since even within a day, there are several batches. He added:“Also, payment receipts generated from the students’ portal section of the University website should be made available as the accreditation team will insist on identity verification through possession of pictures that tally with the face of each candidate. “Candidates for the pre-admission screening exercise were also advised to be decently dressed, as candidates with indecent dressing will not be allowed into the screening premises. “Also, phones and all other forms of mobile communication, electronic devices, bags and luggage are not allowed within the screening premises. “Only registered candidates for the screening exercise will be allowed into the screening premises. The exercise runs from today to next Monday”. |
