True it is that there are over 600 million active websites, the fact is over 60% of these sites are blogs and close to 80% of blogs has either died, hanging by a thread or maltreated (poorly handled).

Quickly here's BlogOxygen's top 5 amongst many reasons why Bloggers with the early Usain Bolt enthusiasm fade out after a while.

Note: This is not a do/don't manual or anything you've read before. Just plainly written research result.

1. Money : I've read many articles that tell Bloggers to put money off their mind when they start out. Don't believe this sheepishly as it's a technical statement. After a while, if money isn't coming, you might wanna up your game or do something else.

2. Posts : Almost every blogger has something that takes the chunk of the daily routine. So carving out time to satisfy your readers might be choking. The longer you go without blog posts, the more you lose readers and the more readers are lost, the... What the heck do you have a blog for without readers?!

3. Comments : Believe it or not, comments or lack of it gets to Bloggers. When you have comments, you feel heard. Without it, you can only assume or be discouraged. That's why if you read a nice piece of blog post, the only way to encourage the blogger is by dropping a comment. That's the least you can do.

4. Traffic : Lack of traffic is something that discourages Bloggers. Search Engine Optimisation is one thing clients(Bloggers) are advised not to joke with, the refusal of your site to surface on search engine pages is a red flag. Closing up shop can't be far fetched.

5. Solo Blogging : Solo blogging kills your enthusiasm faster than anything. You compose the articles, you edit/proof read, you post them, you share them on social media platforms, you still go source for back links, you... Pls tell explain how you won't close up the blog before it wears you out?

Thing is, you don't necessarily have to go through the stress anymore. BlogOxygen is giving Bloggers the chance to run your blog on autopilot just at a meagre fee.
Would you rather purchase some oxygen packs for your blog rather than watch it die out, send your article order and (or) post order mail to blogoxygen@outlook.com or simply visit blogoxygen.com ...

Cheers to your blogging success!

This is a nice post and its the third time and reading it, first was from problogger and the third is this one. The post is an encouraging post to bloggers.

As for the Money aspect, that technical statement "don't blog for money", is for upcoming bloggers to seek first the passion of blogging and all money issue will come later. We easily forget that to become a graduate from a university, you need to start from level 1 or running to catch-up the school bus.

For the Comment issue, I like what you there, its like the The Golden Rule "~what you want men to do to you, do it to them)". When we read a post from someone blog that look interesting, don't just leave the post, give comment.

If you are a bloggers, don't be shy to beg or encourage readers by saying:
* Please leave your comment
* I will like to hear your suggestion by hitting the comment box
* You can give your opinion regarding this post on my comment box

Sometimes after the article, make a review question that will induce readers to participate on the comment box

This is so true...Especially money and no comments on blog. I have had my rap blog (kaysrapzone.com) for 7 years now, and I have abandoned and gone back to it like a dozen times. There was one time I wanted to delete it and I put up a post saying that on the blog... next thing, people surfaced from no where with "pls, don't delete your blog, I love it." "Pls don't delete your blog, it is the best hiphop blog in Nigeria." And lots more encouraging comments. I was wondering where they were all along.

The one and only reason you guys give up is because you only know how to peddle lies and carry false news. Any business model/plan based on gossips and untruth never make it in business.

Unfortunately, gossip is what is trending in our world today. Assuming seun started out with the rubbish that makes Frontpage these days, he would have been out of business and would now probably be just a common programmer.

If you want to make it as a blogger, give your audience educative, enlighting and true (GOSSIP) stories verified by you and you will be smiling to the bank.

Majority of Nigerian bloggers are lairs who love to deceive people by creating misleading topics and try to sell fake stories that's why they never go anywhere.

They think by doing all that they are trying to drive traffic not knowing they are actually sending people away from their sites.

SMH.

And for bloggers that think they can attract traffic with porn and sex tapes, why don't you all grow up.
