This is d dividend of the fraud they did, all in the name of privatizing the power sector. Funny enough, despite the 1yr blackout, these ebonyians still voted PDP and refused to embrace change. Anyway, its good sane people are coming to realise that poor governance transcends ethnic and religious barriers and with massive protests such as this, with a renewed fervour for accountability no govt or organisation dare take the people for granted any longer. Though, govt involvement in biz is not the best, I believe that Nigeria's case was bad because there was corruption and lack of accountability in govt corporations. I sincerely bliv that with a govt such as that of PMB in power, even d much derided PHCN in govt hands can do better than the comatose private ones existing now. 1 Like |

plendil: My point is this Protest is for Ndi Ehugbo. When other LG in Ebonyi protest their predicament, we will discuss their case separately. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2751890_11900082869188279830057705307304140906962n_jpegef83931884dfaa5d22733d3e41eb857c ^^^^^^ In this picture, the cameraman is standing at the Amuro Round About. Ahead in front is the Eke Market. On your left is Mgbom. On the left of the camera man is Ukpa. Behind him is the road that leads to Afikpo LG Headquarters. So my bros, I know where Afikpo is. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

francizy: Are they complaining about "Improved" power or the "Darkness" PDP plunged the entire community into for nearly 2 yrs? Stop being cleaver by half. This protest is to call the attention of EDDC to the plight of the good people of Afikpo. Take your bigotry and hared to elsewhere. Afikpo do not need it. 3 Likes |

Dark days are over. Protest here and there, wthese people are really milking Nigerians dry with outrageous bills with no power supply to show for it. The same thing happened in my state (Ekiti) last week. I ran into them while driving to a neighbouring state (Osun) and their was traffic grid lock for over three hours and it took the intervention of the Deputy governor to intervene before the peaceful protesters were dispersed. Our new president needs to look into the privatisation of the phcn and if necessary, the reversal of the action. God bless Mr president and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. |
