i7 core would be a must, 8gb ram and above a must, 4 - 8 processors a must, intel Intergrated graphics between 4600/5500 a must, external hdd can be got, so not too important.

NB: On your budget, I wonder. But miracles do happen!!!

with dat cash you get dell notebook its about 59k, 2gb ram, 500hdd, windows 8.1 AMD processor made and branded for africa, battery life of 4 to 5 hours,
or lenovo G series within 57 to 60, same above specs, but intel celeron processors and battery life beats that of the dell which last between 5 to 7 hours of battery life.

Not every seller is greedy. Some sellers would sell items for a fair price. If you look deeper, you would find a squirrel with hunch back !!!!
