Don't know what to do to stop the everyday stooling.@proudmum38 my mum didn't let me take soft drinks,malt,too much sugary stuff so that baby would purge.

My baby too had dt kinda poop for days, was told there's nothing I cn do about it cos its teething. When I couldn't bear it again I told a friend who's a nurse and she said I shd gv him flagyl(syrup) 1ml morning and evening. I only gave him for a day cos its not supposed to be used over a prolonged period . Then I started baby zinc 10mg per day. His poop is back to normal now. I believe there's nothing like teething poop, it's actually cos they put anything and everything in their mouths now .

N:B--- Hope you are giving her enough fluid so she doesn't dehydrate

Hello mamas, I'm trying to wean my baby i.e. stop breastfeeding totally. I didn't breastfeed her at all yesterday and by the time I woke up this morning, my Brea.sts were engorged, painful and very heavy as if they want to fall off my chest. What can I do to stop this? To add to all d advice......Avoid all breast stimulation, pumping or even daddy touching it . Instead of warm water try massaging it with an ice pack or a chilled towel . And pls don't be tempted to use ibuprofen, only use paracetamol cos of ur condition.

@ rieme26, a friend of mine that usually gives birth through CS drinks lemon mixed with warm water (freshly squeezed lemon) first thing in d morning before food and last thing at night while waiting for the scar to heal before using corset. But you have to be sure your baby is not reacting to it.

Please mamas, does baby tribotan makes babies sweat? My DS sweats like crazy since i started using it for cradle cap and its kind of making his skin dry. Any remedies? i also notice that his stomach is rumbling (making sounds), is it something to be worried about? i don't want my mum giving him agbo o as she has started saying its diarhia. He's 2months, 3 weeks, on EBF and his poo is still soft and yellowish. Thanks

U hv to gv d zinc tablet (1 tab) for 10days nd it will definitely normalise. D same thing happened to me, d doc told me to gv my lo d zinc tablet for 10days.

No pls, it's half of the tab, its even written on d pack , my baby is dt age too.

Was preg wen my DS was 8month,weaned him wen he was a year. U can take fluid cos of ur condition, u wil sure feel beta in 3-4days. Ensure d bra is very firm and take paracetamol for d pain. Sori sis

Please what's the benefit of putting the cabbage leaf before wearing bra during weaning?

Zinc tablet is used to normalise stooling in infants based on my experience wit it nd my daughter took it wen she was 7months, oda sabi mamas can tell if a 4month can tk it (I'm still a learner oo loling..)

Pls kindly stop using ROBB for anal stimulation, vaseline is beta.
Colic is wat every child experience, just dat it differs from a child to another. Please kindly watch wat u eat,u nid lots of fluid, fruits and vegetables. Cut down on ur carbohydrates. Plus if on EBF, they don't hv to poo everyday.
Include tummy time in ur schedule for ur baby, tummy massage and bicycle motions wit d leg. It sure helps wit colic. And it sure get beta after d 3rd month

Very normal 4 lil proudy 2 poo @ dis stage. U can also watch wat u eat.

Friso rice is given 4rm 6mths. Some pple give pap @ 4mths bt if u can afford it y not start him on formular instead.

Sorry dear, y not go back to the hospital, by 2wks I was walking practically well. Pls go back and get checked. CS is a major surgery, don't brush off even the slightest pain.

@mumz, frisogold cereal is from six months, but there are other cereal from 4months and you can also use pap

Pap isn't bad especially if u cn make it ursef. Start with millet and guinea corn and gradually as he grows u cn add yellow maize to it. I actually prefer pap bn d first cereal for baby cos of all d process it goes thru (soaking, sieving and cooking), which makes it gentle on d tummy, plus it has no preservative no additve, no sugar nor salt .

If u want rice cereal, u cn try Heinz, Gerber, cow and gate......all are from 4months.

@tikosdear, at 4weeks I was walking well but I had some lumps and my sister had a strong stomach, we both went to the hospital and the doctor said it will clear that it's normal we where not given any drug. But it's better you see a doctor

Sorry for d misconception sis, sum poo after each feed @ dis stage and sum everyday while odas don't poo until like every 2-5days. She was bothered d baby doesn't poo everyday hence d anal stimulation. That's y I told her dat it's nothing to worry abt if baby is on ebf. Hope dis clear d air a lil. Ao is lil proudy and u doin

My baby is 9 months and also refused to be spoon fed. Mine will even collect the spoon from me and throw it on the floor or hold it tight.

Some people say the only disadvantage is that the baby will suck feeder up to 2 years.
Dont know whether it's true.
