qidos121: K, bro. Seems preparation was not top notch for this year putme. Its one of those things. What did they say happened to your result that you have to wait till Tuesday to get it. I am suspecting the school will just give u what they like as oppose what u got. |
Re: Unilag 2015/2016 Admission by joviegghead: 5:52pm On Aug 20, 2015 |
Jamb said that science should be picked more than art and commercial students in ratio 60:40.could this be an explanation to why marks are really low this year for some people?why did it take unilag so long to release the results?could it be that marks were reduce for candidates of some courses?i just can't help thinking and suspecting foul play. |

All those zeros and withheld results should be corrected on Tuesday as well. You just recheck later for the aggregate. |
Re: Unilag 2015/2016 Admission by ibadanfinest(m): 6:29pm On Aug 20, 2015 |
kkkap: The best thing is to dash to the school to complain. It will be nice if you go to the senate building first, make enquiries, then you will be directed to the appropriate office to lodge your complain. 233 is a good score and should not be wasted like that |

joviegghead: Jamb self, check this out. College of medicine Science Faculty of science. Science Faculty of environmental science majorly science courses faculty of Engineering. Science Faculty of Education. 50% Science Faculty of pharmacy. Science Faculty of Bus Admin- Science students are eligible if they have econs Faculty of social science- science student are eligible esp in economics and psychology plus geography faculty of art- This is the only faculty where science students are not eligible. Whereas commercial and art cannot be eligible in the least science courses. Already science students have 70% of the school admission quota. All this one jamb is saying I don't get. Unilag need not reduce non science student mark cos they have been cheated with maths being a compulsory subject in post utme. |

All these statistics you guys are doing, you'll be shocked so many people passed when you see the cut-off,that's how it always is. Just pray it favors you, instead of looking for how many people passed/fail 1 Like |

Re: Unilag 2015/2016 Admission by dedecoder: 6:50pm On Aug 20, 2015 |
joviegghead: There's no doubt this year's post utme score is somehow low. It's only a hand full of individuals that have managed to sail above 60%. The larger percentage of those who passed are between 50 and 59. (I tell you, if you scored within this range, you be baba or mama as the case may be) I said it in my earlier post that applicants should braise themselves up for something different this year. The moment I realized a CBT exam which was supposed to be released almost immediately took a week, I knew NORMALIZATION was on-going. JAMB uses this method and so, it's not your raw score that you actuaclly get. Make no mistake, the 0.25 that was added to some people's aggregrate is no mistake or generosity. It's part of the process. It'll end up making the difference between the "boys" and the "men". By next week, the cut-offs will be out and I can assure you it won't rise higher than last year. Just begin to match your scores with the cut-offs. The difference is not going to be more than "minus 4" at most. I.e if your catchment was 65 last year, it's likely not going to go below 61. Wisdom therefore demands that you start studying which course you can change to now. It's the situation we have found ourselves in this country. We struggle and compete for almost everything - including death! Many are capable and willing but are denied because of limited space. Please don't give up brothers and sisters. Join the "league of strugglers" and do your best to enter this year. Any course. You may keep that bird in hand while hunting for another one next year. Congratulations to all who have checked their results and passed. The best is yet to come. Those who didn't do too well, God will make a better way for you. You aren't a failure! The test is even called quiz. It's not a true test of your character! Braze up for other times. It is well. (Interestingly, dedecoder is a graduate of Microbiology from OAU ife and an aspirant for this year's Unilag's MBBS. Hoping to meet my prospective "colleagues". Shalom! 11 Likes 1 Share |

tennyson10: Bros stop that thing. Unilag is my school and they can be funny. So most nairalander or facebookers or those on WhatsApp group are dullards. If the cut off mark I this year is un reasonably high, someone needs to write a petition. The school needs cleansing. corruption is too much. This incident I found out myself. A diploma person did not meet cut off for his course, her name did not come out among direct entry diploma list but her name came out in those in A Level list. I therefore concluded those in A Level list are those that pay one or two people. Human right activist need to look into this school. The his and her mix up is for confusion 3 Likes |

ibadanfinest: Lol,unilag is also my school. Ask labo,I did all these during my time and was suprised when d cut-off was released. No,I don't mean it that way, the people on nairaland, whatsapp and any other result you might have seen don't even make up 5% of the total people that wrote the exam, what if I told you I've seen people with 75 and 78 agg,so don't judge with that. It was untill the screening exercise I started meeting people who got as high as 38/40 in their putme. As per the case of the person u said,my cousin who didn't meet change of course last year opted for the COC and changed to physics but was even given a higher course that he didn't choose, which is even about 8marks above his aggregate,so it might have been a mistake or probably just luck,so don't always conclude its runs. But I repeat, there is no way sum1 would get in the merit list of a course he didn't choose, irrespective of the course. That's what I was trying to tell that guy |

ibadanfinest:what are you talking about? Arts students have been taking maths as a compulsory subject just like we science students(since the dawn of time). Do not blame unilag for your own incompetence.#jusaying |
Re: Unilag 2015/2016 Admission by ibadanfinest(m): 7:20pm On Aug 20, 2015 |
tennyson10: I disagree on the 5% thing. Right now, most aspirants are now rushing to the internet for one or two things. Most aspirants now have access to internet, if u r not on WhatsApp, u are on Facebook. I had 35 on my group, heard someone got 38 but I did not see anyone more than 32 during reg. Bottom line, being on the internet isn't a luxury these days, so I very much doubt your 5%. Others I agree to disagree with you. 1 Like |

joviegghead: joviegghead:This is d major reason why people fail; they are always lookin fr people or smtin to blame for their failures...jamb introduced a policy,u pple complained, now, uve written d postutme,u are still complainin.....anyone dat fails d exam isnt intelligent or didnt prepare hard enuf...do u expect evri1 to pass?......There are pple with aggregates of 65-76..many of dem.....itz because they merit it...so if u failed...go nd prepare harder...nd stop complainin lyk failures do.... I rep LAW....law aspirants...share ur scores |
Re: Unilag 2015/2016 Admission by tennyson10: 7:26pm On Aug 20, 2015 |
ibadanfinest:lol, if 35000 people wrote the exam and you believe you've seen up to 5% then you must have seen 1750 results. My point is at the end of the day you'll find out its not all worth it. Wait for the cut-off then you can start from there |

Phayme: Oga when u join this thread. So if you are an art student, your focus will be on mathematics, 90% of universities in Nigeria do not require credit in maths to study art and some social science courses. Its not a bad thing if its an o level requirement. As for it being a compulsory subject in post jamb, it is wrong. Since jamb itself does not make it a compulsory subject, why do they have to. Setting calculus for art student who didn't take further maths in secondary school. Lastly phayme (femi) am an akokite already. Pls be civil next time. You can counter my opinion but be civil about it bro. 'Don't blame unilag for your incompetence' isnt civil at all |

I think you guys should think very well before posting gibberish .... |

FrancisTony:. Irrespective of the figure, try to get the point here. There are still a lot of you've not seen, and amongst them lies some very high scores. When the cut-off is out you'll understand me better. |
Re: Unilag 2015/2016 Admission by ibadanfinest(m): 7:46pm On Aug 20, 2015 |
tennyson10: Nope but that's a myopic way of calculating it. We are like 100 plus the guest on this thread. and we all have friends on WhatsApp and Facebook, my friends on WhatsApp also have different friends on their WhatsApp and it goes on and on and on. Though some may not be on WhatsApp. Plus we all agreed that the results are low. Then I must on the average have indirectly seen nothing less than 3000 results. Don't be decieved bro, slot dey for people and that is d truth. |
