Go to the immigration office in your state. It takes less than 1 week to get a passport. I think it's now 25/27k. If you wanna do it yourself, it's 17k but could take forever.

So best bet is walk into the immigration office and talk to an officer.

Your best bet would be to renew your passport before you go for your interview.
As the 32 page Passport is now extremely scarce, you may want to do the 64-page one. You can do it yourself, which would take forever or you can use an agent. Costs about 35-38,000.

It's too early to renew your passport. You have to wait till next month, because you can only renew passports that will expire in 6months or less. Go to immigration office next month, and ask to renew your passport. Are you in Lagos? I might be able to help. I advise u to renew your passport before you go to the embassy.

pls for those of u thinking troy university is an easy ride in all ramification,I advise u do ve a rethink,I transferred to the school and I have seen what other students that refused to write standardised tests are going through,some are meant to spend 2years doing ESL program befr crossing to degree proper..I advise every potential US student to take standardised tests..I took both GRE and toefl and u know my stance in the school atm..to be forewarned is to be.....
U will jst waste time and money here as the $3,500 every semester for ESL woulda done a whole better if u had written the standardised test..shalom
P:S: anyone interested in studying here should holla at me

its a college town that's dedicated for just studies if u know what I mean..crime rate is low,many Asians and Americans..u jst need to come with plenty cash for tuition if u don't have scholarship.i think they offer undergraduate scholarship to a couple of my friends that wrote toefl and sat.if u didn't write pls write both befr coming to avoid stories that touch..even after writing them and u get here,they will Insist u write a placement test,that will determine If u will be allowed to commence degree classes or foundation classes befr proceeding

He will need to write TOEFL, SAT, IELTS, to cover up for his english (to make him english proficient). Its a good result by the way.

I don't know about transferring at graduate school level however, you can apply into a graduate program afresh and apply for your study permit right there from the U.S.
Graduate school curriculum differs across schools most times because different schools have their research focus but you could look for a program whose interest is in sync with what you are doing and give a very good reason on why you are seeking transfer.

What program are you currently in here? I'm hoping that you know that the oil industry is in a complete mess at the moment. I hope you also know that thousands of people have been laid off and companies are not hiring like before again. In case you don't know, Canada oil companies are always the worst affected whenever oil prices go down. The reason is simply because their operating cost is too high (heavy oil) and anything they do may no longer be economical in a sector majorly controlled by the market place. This is not the best time for the oil industries and I would suggest that you have a rethink. I pray that whatever decision you eventually make would be best for you.

It is very possible. When is your expected resumption date? If you have a January date, I will advise you apply once you resume and give your reason as wanting to diversify away from mining.

Ojap and GboyegaD,God bless you boss..Let me make my case open here.There is nothing to hide at the moment..I really need serious advice before I miss out.I was initially working before I got these admissions and GA offer.I chose to study at the moment becos my PO renewal isn't feasible as it is.School resumption date and PO renewal time coincide, so i decided to study in order not to miss the GA offer.I am thinking of going to Canada because I heard is easy to save in Canada as a student than US.I am going to US with all my fortune and I dnt want to fall out of status.. That is one of the reasons I am thinking of crossing to a country I can use my skills to work and also study. you are even lucky to have a GA,check the terms of the GA,if its Gpa based,that means u will have to maintain a certain gpa to retain it,should it also be full tuition waiver,u are good to go,I was also in ur shoes,just know that every great achievement started with a quantum leap..

My advice is just tell the person to write ielts and it's easy to pass, don't think about the cost because it will help the person to secure scholarship in future if the wants to apply for it

It will also help the person from wasting his or her funds in attending English class for a year

Due to D7 in English let the person write toefl or ielts to correct the D7 because all schools want credit in English and he or she can use the ielts or toefl to convince the school
