Perversive aura of power We must not grant President Muhammadu Buhari too much comfort. We cannot afford to blink or take our eyes off the ball. Not anymore; not after all the tormenting disappointments that have emanated from that Aso Rock Presidential Villa since 1999. Why should a President Olusegun Obasanjo have failed so woefully having rode into the scene with cognate experience none else in Nigeria’s history had? Yet he managed to set us back many years. Did we not think that President Goodluck Jonathan brandishing a PhD, and all that shoelessness, was indeed a breath of fresh air? But he fouled our air so much we are still choking. http://thenationonlineng.net/pmb-the-dangers-of-one-man-show/ 34 Likes 5 Shares |

Story for the gods. This is medicine after death syndrome article from a wailing wailer's point of view. . The question to ask is why is this article just coming out at the point when the ministerial list is about to be released in September. PMB carry on with your reforms, we are solidly behind you and if there any need to call for his attention when he is not following due process we will do that but for now let the wailing wailers, Tanoids and haters either calm down or go and hug live transformers !!! 19 Likes |

The fact is that uprooting the deep seated administrative culture of mediocrity, gross indiscipline and lack of accountability in our MDA's requires an extensive examination of the existing system of governance without the interference of political actors. What PMB is likely doing through his meetings with perm-secs, is evaluating the current processes and procedures that are in practice, and tuning them appropriately to be in sync with his progressive and transparent approach to governance. The distractions that come with the appointment of ministers and their retinue of aides, and the politics involved in their confirmation could adversely influence the intended purpose of the MDA's evaluation. There is no doubt that Ministers and other key government functionaries are necessary for effective and dynamic governance, however it is important that we do not build our castles on a foundation of rotten clay. 25 Likes 2 Shares |

Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind. The saddest part of the human race is we're obsessed with this idea of 'us and them,' which is really a no-win situation, whether it's racial, cultural, religious or political. So lets start thinking straight for the good of our beloved country. 5 Likes 1 Share |

PRESSID: Let’s not throw Jonathan away with bathwater One of the most ingenious initiatives of former President Goodluck Jonathan was setting up of the Presidential Special Scholarship Scheme for Innovation and Development (PRESSID). The scheme, which is in its third year, selects about 100 best of Nigeria’s first class graduates for scholarship in the best universities abroad. The idea is simply to harness a critical mass of thinkers and leaders in all spheres of life for Nigeria’s future. The US has perfected this strategic initiative, reaching beyond their borders to poach the best from around the world. The successful candidates for the third batch for the 2014/2015 academic session, who have been offered admission in universities across the world, have been left hanging since President Buhari came to power. If these young Nigerians are being denied their well-merited national scholarship, which they have already won, by the new government, they at least deserve to be informed formally so that they may move on with their lives. America, Israel, China, etc., lead the world because they make serious effort to select and groom their very best minds. It is hoped that PMB would sustain PRESSID. Are you guys sure that Tunde Fowler is Tinubu's candidate? Saharareporters attacked Tunde fowler yesterday and today the nation is attacking Buhari that he is running a one man show. To the best of my knowledge Tunde fowler resigned as LIRS last year to contest for governorship election and he was denied and stopped by Tinybu who preffered ambode. Are you sure the same way Tinubu is attacking fashola so as not to get a job from PMB is not the same way Tinubu is using to others he has fallen apart with. PMB is picking Tinub's former boys that are now his enemies like Tunde fowler. I am sure fashola and fayemi will make PMB cabinet. Tinubu would be cut to size. People should just watch out. 13 Likes 1 Share |

whomever wrote that article is speaking througn their yansh. he is pained because with buhari controlling everything they have nothing to write about. so basically he is watching out for his own pocket. i remember the guy on sahara reporters saying buhari should appoint ministers because with only buhari running the show they are short of material to write about 3 Likes |
