someone explain to me why silicon is used to make solar panel, I thought it should be tungsten or any metal . or does it have to do with d resistance issue? Cuz silicon is a metalloid semiconductor material, meaning d resistance decreases and the conductivity increases when heated.. I guess it's preferable for optimal current/energy supply.....i think i just answered my question. Sorry for troubling you.
