ogagaejay:why didn't you use wakanow.com, they offer you the chance to pay in Naira. I paid directly to their account and I've been confirmed already on Turkish Airlines. I think others should try booking tru this medium |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by lmuhopeful: 8:56am On Aug 22, 2015 |
kanweYest: Thanks. I funded a week after the interview and sent the embassy a confirmation. I do not speak German but I am currently enrolled in the intensive summer A1 course at Goethe. I don't think that a lack of knowledge of the language would affect your visa process as long as your course is completely in English 1 Like |

From experience, wakanow doesn't always have best prices. Newest trick I got? Check the flights on airlines page, do a book on hold (valid for above 24hours) pay cash at an agent (usually at airports or in renowned hotels ). Oye50: 3 Likes |

I will like the house to help me to answer this question:which of these options is better in booking an appointment at the german embassy with a sponsorship letter: going to the embassy with relevant documents or sending email to the embassy online. I learnt that it takes more than 2weeks to get a response for appointment date for online(email) route. Pls, I need your response one house |

dcitizen: Seems u are new here, never mind I am sure that almost everybody in this forum booked online via sending d required documents to d embassy via email. The news u heard is false because I booked online and the embassy replied the same day. So I don't really understand where dis news is coming from. 2 Likes |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Oye50(m): 10:11am On Aug 22, 2015 |
daimlerbenz:That may not be entirely true to the best of my knowledge. Comparing the price for the date I chose on Turkish Airlines and on Wakanow.com, there was about 5k difference, thereby making wakanow cheaper. So I don't know how you got that your trick |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Oye50(m): 10:13am On Aug 22, 2015 |
dcitizen:As long as you are booking for a student visa, no one would attend to you at the embassy to book for a date. It's stated on their site that this kind of visa MUST be via email 1 Like |

Oye50:Chief, are you saying that on the day you booked for the date you intend to travel, the price on wakanow was cheaper than the price on the airline page? Ermm, and doesnt Turkish and other airlines give you the option to convert the price to Naira so that when you pay you pay the Naira equivalent already converted without the bank converting it for you? Royal Air Maroc guy, check the difference in price between RAM and Turk. If e large, abeg use RAM. No one should bother with comfort. Even if person use ship enter Europe via Libya and Italy, as long as you go still enter Germany like those ogas wey use KLM and Luthania, then nothing does you. 2 Likes |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Oye50(m): 11:08am On Aug 22, 2015 |
Obiwannn:I actually wanted to use RAM but they don't allow more than 23kg for economy class but Turkish Airlines allow two 23kg for same class, I think you should confirm that as well cos it's important o. Of what use is it carrying just a few cloths and food at end of the day. Turkish Airlines, I have to pay in dollars, infact the rate I used to compare the price was the official rate, yet wakanow was cheaper. U can do the search yourself and tell us what u come up with. I paid a total of #124,200 to their GT account yl the official rate on Turkish site was about #128,000 or so. Now imagine paying tru my master card and they charge me like 235# to a $, isn't that long thing 2 Likes |

I am wondering why soomeone will refer to Royal Air Morac as Molue ..........so funnny.......If this airline is indeed a molue it will never fly in European sky.......just saying.......If you're on the budget this is the airline to go with....its a government own airline and most of their fleets are Boeing.......I have a friend that use this airline last yr and he said it was a safe and cheap......#Myonecent. 1 Like |

missZ1:Thats the truth, EU have standards and for any flight to go to any EU soil it must meet these standards. Take for instance Indonesian airline is on a banned list. So anyone saying RAM is a Molue is talking fallacy 2 Likes |

@oye......you are definitely right, from the research i have been doing since last week....i came to a conclusion that wakanow offers the best rate even better than the airline website(due to exchange rate issues).......but if not for luggage allowance of 30kg on emirate airline..they would have been my choice.......All in all i will also be flying Turkish airline.......23kg X 2.....as you know now 1 bag for foodstuffs... lol......when are you travelling boss ? NB: There is nothing Royal about Air Maroc oooooooo (from a family experience)......The Royal na wash.....then no dey go Hamburg cos Wakanow no they list them for me 2 Likes |

One of the last processes is to fly out... If someone chooses to fly out even if na 800k. Na wetin Hin want If another chooses to fly out even if na 90k. Na wetin hin want. air maroc o, KLM o, lufthansa o, Turkish o.. Pick whichever you want. This thread holds a very WIDE range of people. So one opinion on an airline might not even count.. Some want comfort, some are targeting the costs, some don't even mind.. Cheers 2 Likes |

Oye50:Bros na true oh.. 10 bottles of Origin for you . Abeg you fit gimme the full details on how to book with wakanow? The difference with using wakanow has to do with the discount they give. Do you know if there are any negative or positive effects of this discount? Aibee01 abeg u fit expatiate on nothing being royal about our revered Royal Air Maroc? They land in Berlin which is 2hrs tops from HH by Train. And you can always send your foodstuff in advance to a nice Oga in Germany using NIPOST prior to your arrival, so luggage space shouldn't be much of a worry here but total time of flight. Etihad is quite cheap, but their time of flight is killing, 21hours, while RAM takes APROX. 11hrs to Berlin + 2hrs to HH which is 13 hours. Modified: My bad, Etihad doesn't land in HH/Berlin. 2 Likes |

Obiwannn:Obiwannn want finish me o, if I take one orijin self naso my eye go do me like say I don take 1 crate. 10ke, lol. well b4 I booked using wakanow, I checked NL wella including German thread to be sure there isn't any effect whatsoever, infact, I was so impressed. I remember seeing a post from Nevilbot going to Frankfurt and he booked tru dem, he said no issue at all. Type wakanow on the search space on NL and see what you find. Infact they were calling me like every minute to confirm my booking. I also went to Turkish Airlines Web and I confirmed the booking. So I don't think there's any effect. Finally if u want book, just go to their site, wakanow.com, follow the steps and choose to pay via bank account, you'll see their accounts their. After u pay, call their customer service, they'll confirm you. 1 Like |

Please house I've bee meaning to ask this question. Does the embassy give specific date before which you cannot travel? What's the consequence of this especially if after being granted the visa, the departure date you're given is after your enrollment period? In his case can anything be done? |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by twinkle1(m): 2:39pm On Aug 22, 2015 |
Pauluche: It is not everyone's that has that restriction. I think it's enrolment deadline based.. Mine had a departure restriction .. Kennyoguns0509's didnt have. The embassy takes into consideration your enrolment deadline. If that happens which I doubt might not .. Pls contact your school for extension of enrolment. 2 Likes |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 2:43pm On Aug 22, 2015 |
If yours has a restriction the consequence is you will not be able to travel before what ever date they have given one, hopefully I do not think they will give you a departure date after your enrollment unless you made a mistake somewhere or they made a mistake. If such happens you can reach out for an enrollment extension and explain to your school what the issue is. Pauluche: 3 Likes |

I don't know where people get this RAM as Molue.... Funny what people say at times. I flew RAM in May to Berlin and i had a very nice trip with meal. Two 23kg with 10kg hand luggage, I spent less than 1hr in Casablanca and 12hrs in total while a friend that used Qatar airline pay higher and spent 22hrs in total. The choice of Airline is yours depending on what you want. 2 Likes |

well i have once traveled on air maroc it is safe but they can disappoint alot. my trip to the uk with them their flight was cancelled and i spent 2 days in an hotel in lagos i had to tell them that i dont stay in lagos so they booked me in an hotel and i traveled 2 days latter when people thought i was gone when i was on my way back i checked the itinerary online and i realise that my connection from cassablanka to lagos as also been cancelled for another 2 days for me i did not mind but on getting to heathrow i met a woman who refuse to spend extra days in cassablanka so they transffered us to kenya airways and we had to spend extra hours to get to lagos. in fact i know someone that has missed his interview because of air maroc his flight was cancelled and he was in london for another 2 days and lost that job but if you not in a hurry you can go for it. there service is not bad just that they cancel flight alot. missZ1: 2 Likes |
