Some weeks back my very good friend prophet eke(rtd) which u all know as eke40seven invited me 2 com give my german experience account and even though i took so long to ansa, here i am. i just hope u guys bear with me cus its not that i forgot abt here. i read posts daily just bin busy with stuffs. you guys coming to germany this winter will soon understand.

back to the issues at hand, b4 i ansa eke's questions, i need to drop some infos, 2 specifically

1) a lot of people av contacted me about the job link i posted some months back. some even started bothering me about it even though they are yet to be in germany. well sorry to inform you that nigerian students can no longer av access to the job. this is because u need a document called gewerbeischien (business license) for the job. the german govt in its infinite wisdom however deems it fit that non-eu students can not av dat document cus with that document, u can be self employed and run your own bizness in germany. so plz stop sending me msgs abt the job again. And to some who contacted me asking me how they will get to germany to come and work, plz i am not a travel or job agent. the only way i know that can bring u to germany is thru study. thanks
Thanks.I have d following questions:
1.Now dat dere is no afta-grad job for non-eu graduates,do they still allow non-eu graduates to stay for 18 months after graduation?Do they still allow to work while studying?

2.Also,wot method do u tink a non-eu graduate can now,since no afta-grad job,employ to get permanent residence?

3.Is it easy to get a placement for vocational training in Germany? If yes,pls do u know some of dere requirements?
Thank you

Obiwann I am interested in this NIPOST thing you posted. I have much luggage. Please how do I go about this? I don't mind having some baggage arrive before me. Do they allow foodstuff and liquids like Palm oil? What's the charge like and how much do they charge?

Contact Naijaobi, he is a specialist in using NIPOST to get foodstuffs over to Germany.

E be like say many people dey read my mind. Our team RAM plenty for here...I also found out from my search on idealo (app) that you actually spend less time travelling..
Booking through Wakanow is cheaper than direct booking of course because agencies like wakanow get discounts....
Make una dey check una spam too..apparently, I got a mail from the embassy to fund..since July, 3 weeks after interview ....that's the second reminder to show that the visa was ready then...

Crowns, with 6k, u can send foodstuff worth 15kg to 20kg. No liquids are allowed however. I'd confirm from a friend, he has tips he uses to send via nipost (very fast with non registered mail).

Obiwann No. I am thinking of moving one suitcase of stuff via Nipost if it will be cheaper than paying excess luggage. Not likely foodstuff. I would like to travel with that myself. Any idea how much a full suitcase will be charged?

Bros na true oh.. 10 bottles of Origin for you grin.
Abeg you fit gimme the full details on how to book with wakanow?
The difference with using wakanow has to do with the discount they give. Do you know if there are any negative or positive effects of this discount?

Aibee01 abeg u fit expatiate on nothing being royal about our revered Royal Air Maroc? They land in Berlin which is 2hrs tops from HH by Train. And you can always send your foodstuff in advance to a nice Oga in Germany using NIPOST prior to your arrival, so luggage space shouldn't be much of a worry here but total time of flight. Etihad is quite cheap, but their time of flight is killing, 21hours, while RAM takes APROX. 11hrs to Berlin + 2hrs to HH which is 13 hours.

Modified: My bad, Etihad doesn't land in HH/Berlin.

Please How do I send my food stuff to Germany with NIPOST. I was @ Nipost in benin yesterday and i was told that only EMS can send it .Please what service should i request for when i get 2 Nipost

6. In your opinion, do you think a hard working Nigerian student with a particular result can maintain his/her academic performance in Germany with the same efforts? A scale will be appreciated, I know time is not the only or the best measure of hard work but For instance, A spends 6 hours of study everyday in Nigeria, GPA=4 ". ". ". ". ". ". ". in Germany GPA=?

7. Like in any society, there are distractions or factors that reduces performance, what are the major culprits in Germany for an unenlightened
Nigerian JJC?

8. Most of the male or even females at one time or the other would have fantasized having a German Prince or princess, what are their chances? Do the shy Germans gals take to Nigerians? Can Ahbie, crowns or Amahtrendy, twinkle, Obiwann, Eke, Trendy, swtxt, hollaytan, Kennyoguns, get their prince/princess charming easily?

12. Just give your opinion on these claims below by indicating with an Agree (A), Neutral (N) or Disagree (D)

a. Germans are cold
b. They hate late coming
c. They are racist

E. They are introverts
F. They love beer

P.s. I understand that these questions may be too much to answer at a go, you can answer them bit by bit at your convenience if its gonna take its toll on you. Thank you and God bless.

Am sorry guys. I have been away for so long. Prophet Eke, hope u no dey vex for me boss. I'll answer all based on my personal experiences.

1). Na me be Naijaobi.. The only Chief Obi in Germany.. grin grin grin grin. Am in the beautiful city of Giessen. Studying at JLU

2). Am not facing any academic challenges whatsoever. You read, you pas; you no read, you fail. chikenah

3). My only advice is prepare to do things yourself. No copy and paste work from wikipedia here o. Try am and you will fail woefully. But guys wey sabi no how to bypass am sha. grin grin.

4). Yes o. Many international students. We interract well. In my class we are made up of students from many countries.

5). To be sincere, i didnt find it difficult at all. And mind you my deutsch is not even good. Maybe na God factor sha smiley smiley.

6). Like i said earlier, if you study hard, you will be at the top. No short cut. No sorting. No sleeping with lecturer to pass. If you can't speak in public, start learning how to oo.. cos you will present plenty seminars especially for masters students.

7). Clubbing. If you fall into the hands of party freaks, your own don go be that. grin grin grin. And be wary of friends who all the time will be gisting you on getting a german babe pregnant so you'll get permanent stay. No be all dey work o.. If you truly want to study, forget all those things and strive to achieve your possible best. Most of them who married German lady for papers are in hot soup. from one problem to the other. You automatically become a robot to the lady, she can control you anyhow. Some will tell you once you marry a german lady, after some time, you divorce her and marry the person you like..lol..it's not always that easy o. Well lemme leave this for another day.

cool. Germans are shy to the core. yes you can have a german girlfriend/boyfriend which can even lead to marriage. German ladies love to the fullest. grin grin and they are equally very jealous. I also know a Nigerian lady who is married to a German guy. They met here in Geramny and before you could say jack, they don tie the knot.

9). There's basically nothing you won't see here.If you are coming during winter semester abeg buy better Jacket. Cold for here na another thing.

Jean trousers(expensive here)
Food stuffs (you'll get in african shop anyways)
Cash(at least 300 euro)

10).The only tip is to open your eye.. ''okpolo eye no be open eye oo''.. grin grin grin grin. God factor is the ultimate sha. Try and mix with african students.

11).My city is cool. it's mainly occupied by young people. Frankfurt is the hustling area. just 40 mins with train.

12).
a. Germans are cold----------
b. They hate late coming-----AGREE
c. They are racist------------DISAGREE
D. They don't have time for chitchat----DISAGREE(Germans are shy but if you get to talk to them ehn, they can talk for 2 days non stop)
E. They are introverts---------------AGREE
F. They love beer--------------------AGREE

Am sorry once for being away for so long.. Am here now. I'll answer any question. cool cool cool

Go back to that same Benin. A friend I inquired from said he met a woman who used a taxi to load foodstuff which she was to send to UK. And she used registered mail and it cost her 25k. He asked why she didint use EMS and she said EMS is very expensive. She used registered mail from that same Nipost, takes 10 working days. Visit the office on Tuesday/Wednesday as that is when they must have compiled everything they are gonna transport to Lagos.

Modified: Oga Naijaobi, no worry, I de come follow you drag that name lol..

Thanks. I funded a week after the interview and sent the embassy a confirmation. I do not speak German but I am currently enrolled in the intensive summer A1 course at Goethe. I don't think that a lack of knowledge of the language would affect your visa process as long as your course is completely in English

Thanks. This is helpful.

Okay unto the Nipost matter.
Many people do not know that NIPOST is the cheapest means of sending foodstuffs. And it takes only 3 weeks to reach Germany. Minus beans and liquid stuffs, you can send any thing via NIPOST. And when i mean cheap, it;s the cheapest and very safe to use.
