candance: You will need meat dry fish/stock fish or both perewinkles dry pepper crayfish urhobo oil (a type of palm oil) less than a handful of starch potash native salt maggi salt. . Boil your meat and stock fish together, if your dry fish is very strong, boil it with the meat too. . when those are soft enough, add water to it (the amount of water you add determines how much soup you will get. .if you didn't add your fish earlier , add it now along with your perewinkle. You can cut some meat into small chunks and add it too at this point. . Add pepper, crayfish and oil. All this should be done while your pot is on medium high heat. (do not add too much oil, only add enough to get a light yellow color. (if you taste at this point and need salt, add just a little) . allow your mixture to boil . dissolve the starch, potash and native salt ttogether in a little water . lower the heat and leave your pot on fire for 10-20mins befor adding your starch mixture. . Immediately you add the starch mixture begin to stir to avoid lumps. . your soup will thicken immediately . allow you soup to cook for 10 mins with the pot slightly open . if salt is still needed add a little maggi/know and taste. Will be bck to edit ltr, forgive any errors 2 Likes 1 Share |

@Moberry, It's Native oil. But ordinary palm oil can still be used. The last time I cooked it hum, I used garri as thickener, we couldn't eat it. But wil try it out some day. Thanks |
