The main problem why you guys get disappointed is cuz you don't want to really know the person you're chatting with very well, all you guys have in mind is _sex and nothing but _sex...

You picture the person on the other end as perfect not vividly painting how he/she would look like without editing or makeup...

I once told an online admirer of mine that if we were gonna date online, he should upload a pic of him holding a current dated newspaper...

Lol... He couldn't for reasons best known to him and that was when I knew he was a scam. .

I'll therefore advice everyone entering an online relationship to obtain reasonable evidence from the person on the other end that he/she is real, before you put your self in something bigger than you can handle

It's of course disappointing when a supposedly beautiful female turns out to be a 'Plain Jane' when you both eventually meet. You'd have to try to mask your disappointment by beaming forced smiles. At that point you know whatever you thought you two had going between yourselves isn't going to last 'cause you can't get your head around the fact that the beautiful pictures of her you saw are nothing more than an artist's utopian impression - a con artist.

The C-cups boobs turn out to be A-cups, her rear is actually as flat as a table top, she has a bad accent... The list of disappointing observations is endless - alright, not endless but lengthy.

Scammed financially? Never. I know a female. Chioma. We've been e-friends for five years (she visited my city once though). Chioma would rather die than demand financial gifts from me.

That opined, cyber-dating is awesome. Most times you attract females you'd cherish for a long time.♦

For me dating online is okay but one has to be careful, I have never been scammed online using the dating network, I remember I met a girl online and she gave me her number and when I called her, her voice sounded like a males voice that has been programmed through a China phone to sound like a lady's voice, the next day she ask for recharge card and I am like .. Seriously... No new style or game for fraudsters .. I recently met another girl and she says I like u a lot but I have another boyfriend and I say okay otito... I backed down and the next thing she wants to travel to school, she ask me to help her with money.. Like seriously.. I told her point blank .. I can't help you. And I can't.. It's the truth I work for my money ... If you need money work for yours lol sometimes I think I am being too blunt but I like it that way lol

online dating works majorly in developed countries,where money is not a big factor in dating.In naija,dont be surprised your 'date' is actually a guy,so hungry that he has resorted to pretending to be a female to make money off online love seekers.
Funny give away lines;
1.I am hungry(like you are food,you just met the person few minutes ago)
2.my data is expiring today(that is the oldest line)
3.i love you(works on the love starved guys though,lol)
4.cannot send you an instant picture(always pictures taken earlier)
5.fufilling all all of the above criteria doesnt mean its still not a scam....

A beautiful girl added me on Facebook sometime this year and we started talking, without asking me anything for over 2 months, one day at around 2am I asked her why she wasn't sleeping and she said she was broke, I called her and she was crying on phone, I sent her 20k out of pity..we were not dating and I never intend to date her without us meeting, I told her I will love to see her and when I come to ph we can see. After a week, she told me her mom had an accident, I even spoke with her aunt and I was so convinced, out of pity I sent her another 50k and till I stopped it got to 146k within a space of 3 weeks..she later told me the truth that she lied about her looks and she added me up with her real Facebook and she wasn't even in ph instead she was in Benin and a 300 level student, I later met her but I was only a little pissed about her lying to me but we still talk...please note I did not send those money because of love or sex or whatever, I sent it because I felt sorry...I haven't been on Facebook since then and I don't do other social network...NOTE: those who gonna call me fool, that money didn't kill me and have given way much to friends..I can say best thing is don't accept request from people you don't know.
