Probes are not substitute for governance - Kukah Bishop was right, let govt begin to deliver on her mandate, Nigerians can keep waiting for stolen money to enjoy dividends of democracy. who knows when the probes will end, as US ambassador revealed, it will take time to recover loots, even Abacha's loots have not been completely recovered 2 Likes 1 Share |

Una never start. You think this primitive approach to fighting corruption by Buhari can succeed? It would be a spectacular failure. Jonathan's approach and vision remains the best. You have to block loopholes and strengthen institutions in order to reduce avenues for corruption in the long term. Anything else is nothing but a wild goose chase for the simple reason that there are not enough people who can come to equity with clean hands. If our judges, law enforcement agents, lawyers and everyone else in the jurisprudential ecosystem are all corrupt, how can we claim to fight corruption in this draconian Buhari Way? Who would do the 'fighting' , and would such a person have the moral authority to do so? Virtually everybody is involved in - or has benefitted from corruption in one way or the other. Those who haven't yet done so are patiently and secretly longing for such an opportunity to arise. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

This clearly portrays the degrading state of our justice system. Instead of making a case for the judges that couldn't make it I'll Congratulate those that did. That we're condemning this Revelation is disturbing. It's not Buhari’s fault that others didn't pass. Most people charged with corruption are usually guilty but they often get good lawyers to discover the loopholes in the Constitution to exonerate them. This is what a good judge must discern in order to pass judgment 1 Like |

chukwudi44: In case you don't know, not every PDP people in that house and senate are against the war on corruption. In fact as it is very few of them wants to be caught openly as one who is against the war. The bill will soon be sent and it will like likely get 95% affirmative action. If you think people are not fed up with what's happening in this country think again. Even many morally bankrupt people are fed up except you. One thing I want to assure you is when it starts there will be no APC or PDP. Many of you will feed on your words and know how well Buhari means business. 1 Like |

ayindejimmy: Jonathan's method didn't purport to be a quick fix. With the level of corruption in Nigeria, no quick fix will ever work. Buhari is wasting his time and at the end of the day, his hypocrisy and sheer cluelessness will be made evident. What he is doing is a futile task. When he gets tired or gets pushed out from there, things would revert to normal because the processes and institutions have not been enabled to prevent, reduce or discourage corruption. Everything is based on the so-called "body language" of Buhari. What an unsustainable joke. Only a long-term strategic vision based on strong institutions and processes rather than on so-called 'strong individuals' can help contain the problem of corruption. 4 Likes |

LongPennis: Igbo man. If u r sensible, you should have question the integrity of our judges and entire juciary instead of attacking buhari. A boy in my town was caught in arm robbery, all his gang members died on gun battle, shown on TV crime fighters with bullet wounds, today he is a free man after spending only 3 yrs in custody. The family sold all their properties to bribe judge that set him free. I WILL ADVISE OUR BROTHERS FROM THE EAST TO RISE ABOVE HATE AND STOP BEING ADVOCATE OF CRIME AND CORRUPTION. we should be happy that we have govt. That care about integrity test before appointment. After all is not him that screen them, the judges were screened by concerned Nigerians not buhari. 1 Like |

S. 6 of the CFRN 1999(as amended) is succinct and explicit without any ambiguity. Buhari lacks powers to create or nominate and post Judges to any Court. I think he should constitute a cabinet immediately to put a stop to all this gossip and rumour trailing his government. He should shed his Military mentality and disposition to governance. If everyone fails the integrity test to Buhari; it is time we put him and his family under such scale he applies to others. I am sick of hearing this. I hope the very respected Professor Sagay is not part of the plan to 'put something on nothing' cos he knows 'it cannot stand'. |
