I won't agree with the term competitive admission totally. I think what we have are competitive courses and non competitive courses. that's why some cut off are in the 60s and some in the early 50s and late 40s.
COC is possible especially in faculty of science and education and maybe a course or two in faculty of Art.

The thing dey like film trick sha. I got 253 in Jamb, I'm a first timer, I didn't really prepare for post Utme cos I no know say na d koko b DAT sef, with my 253 I thought I am already in school , na so I go get 18/40 for post Utme o ,I still thank God sha because he made me to come from Ekiti State ,if no be catchment I for don dey look for COC form or maybe I'll be thinking of writing Jamb next yr , my agg was 54.13 the merit cutoff for geography was 56.00, but my state own was 53.25 , This is a very hard lesson to learn sha, But all the same I give God the glory

English and government cannot be compromised. any other two subjects from Economics,
Geography, History, Literature-in
–English, and Mathematics.

Pls relieve me of this fear guyz!!! I scored 61.38 for Civil Engineering, but my catchment (0gun) cutt off is 61.65. Will i be considered? Someone shud reply me cuz am really unstable ryt nw!!

For the jamb combo

Any Three of Literature in English, History/ Government, French, Geography, Mathematics, Yoruba/lgbo, CRK/IRS, Economics, Commerce

For the o'level combo

5 credits including English, Mathematics and 2 of Literature in English, History/Government, Geography, Economics, Igbo/Yoruba, CRS/IRS, French
