Following the asylum topic that came to light on this thread last night, I quickly made a rough research this AM. Below are my findings and personal opinions:

First, it must be said that the EU got the asylum structuring all wrong. There is a reason countries like US, Canada, Australia et all are very strict with the process of absorbing asylum seekers into their country, especially in enormous numbers.

It appear the bulk share of the asylum burden currently fall on the laps of Germany as the number of refugees in the country is slightly greater than that of other EU countries put together, excluding one or two countries in the EU of course; who receive nearly half the number of Germany's.

It's also worth noting that the German government are apparently bothered about the asylum scheme. As a result, many refugees in Germany are subjected to deportation while hundreds of thousands asylum applications are being strictly scrutinised, although some highly placed German politicians and stakeholders are kicking against such developments.

Additionally, some Germans are irritated by the drastic rise in number of refugees in their country which is evident in the ongoing protests in the German state of Bavaria, and is predicted to spread across the country. And in my opinion, barbaric reactions by Bavarians such as: torching refugee settlements and assaulting unarmed refugees are petty and uncalled for.

While I believe refugees aren't necessarily a threat to Germany's economy, I do have my concerns regarding security - underrate Arabs at your own peril! And that's not being racist or bigoted, it's just me being logical. It also brings to mind the so called German visa 'anti-terrorist form', which at this point I believe is quite laughable, as 80 - 90 percent of the asylum seekers/refugees hail from hot zones like: Syria, Iraq and Pakistan.

Conclusively, Germany should be applauded for being a BIG BROTHER to displaced persons, countries at war and most notably; its EU counterparts. But Germany should also remember that 'it is a cold world' we live in, where generosity comes at a price, often very costly.

Nice 1 bro, in addition don't forget dat USA n others re capitalist they drive on the oxygen of exploitation so nothing goes for free. USA believed that they re secured and conscious of terrorist because terrorism is now a global phenomenon( world threat) still they attacked the country internally don't forget the Olympic bomb it happened last three years but within seven days they Captured d terrorist within USA (kudos) but was successful

Is easy for USA to help Syria and d refugee but because of Putin role and contribution in d crisis is giving USA headache and nightmare in addition USA won't do anything free once they see that they won't gain from it they will ignore (na my personal beef with the county b dat) Putin is adding more to it don't forget that diz man walked out of the G7 meeting held in Germany this year(2015) USA want to maintain the world power politically economically see what China did overnight North Korea perfect their close economy and about Germany

I understand they need foreigners to strengthen their economy USA also did that via visa lottery. But d case of refugee and terrorist ah Germany must be careful once they get their way in. In our country naija we still dey face the battle.

Accepting international student is different from accepting asylum seekers. International students contribute enormously to the economy while the later receive from the economy. Do you know it is been debated if they should stop giving money and giving out stamps instead.

It's a good thing to accept migrants into your country and show love to them also. But from another perspective, are the migrants also ready to integrate fully ? That is the questions most Germans ask. They already know what Islamic people are capable of doing, Turkey comes to mind.

Mind you, Germany is a christian Country and not multi-religious like Nigeria. Some people are of the view that accepting large amount of People from another religious background different from the host country may in future do more harm than good. This argument can be debated upon without reaching a conclusion, then France comes to mind.

I read the number this year will rise up to 800,000 and you can imagine how enormous that is. There are lots of question begging for answers.
How do they intend to integrate them?
Will they return back to their country, when the war is over? Knowing too well how conservative most Germans are.
Personally I feel Germany is doing okay but like we all know, too much of every thing is bad.

Please don't crucify me oh, I have Muslim friends in Nigeria, who are like brothers to me and also have a very nice Syrian friend here in Germany, unfortunately my German Syrian friend has a bitter opinion against the west. I can't blame him because he came here as an immigrant thanks to USA and co.
I really wish this was happening to USA then it would have been an icing on the cake

The news is *well not new in Germany * that as from winter semester 2016. The Bafög level will rise to €735 from €670.
Infact this was concluded in 2014..with subtle effects in 2015 and full effect in 2016.
The rise in Bafög level is aimed at an Increase in the financial welfare of students that take up the loan. **Bafög = student loan **
So *according to the new Bafög level for 2016* the financial means of substinence via blocked account, sponsorship or scholarship will also increase to a maximum of €735 per month for non EU students .
So the expected new blocked account figure will be €8820 from €8040 for one year.

Leibniz Universität Hannover updated their means of financial substinence page last month .
I will post a screenshot .

So in conclusion the new blocked account figure will be €8820 from winter 2016.

I don't speak German shaa, but according to google translate:
"There is sufficient evidence to serious doubts that you actually follow the specified purpose"
I believe they're just in doubt to your main purpose of travelling. Just do justice to that in your next interview and you should be fine.
