All the tps are fluctuating. I remembered the basic properties of longitudinal waves and reflective dishes and realised I was "seeing" interference from a noise source. I promptly retrieved my scalar ring and installed it. They're a bit more stable now and fluctuate +/- 5%.

For the keys, I saw the preloaded keys under 03974. I choose PowerVU and set the keys manually by entering a new one at 3978 just in case.

Just now, I experienced a breakthrough. Out of desperation, I did a blind scan. Blindscans often mess up tps sp I avoid them unless I'm desperate. I'm desperate. My HBO now shows. I now have three HBOs at 3974, 3975 and 3978. The 3975 HBO for which there are no PowerVU keys is paradoxically the only one showing. Pretty good picture. Cracks when the signal drops below the lower 60s%.

I'm unable to watch anything but flickers on the NHK channels and I don't know what the SONY channels look like as I somehow seem unable to pick them. Any help?

PS: Regarding my fluctuation problem, I think I might have a clue now. The 2.6m dish is a mere 3.5m away from nine 240W solar panels, a veritable source of noise. Luckily, all my cables are double insulated with copper and aluminium foil shielding hence my being able to watch TV at all. It however shouldn't block my SONY channels hence I still need help.

OK now that u have a little breakthrough, just tweak ur lnb to different skews and see if there is signal increase. And make sure the ident is exactly the same as the frequency of the particular channel when entering the keys.

no the Ku band lnbis not pointing at any sat on that position..upper c band lnb is for Intelsat20 C-band!lower C-band lnb with dielectric plate for 57east...(c band)

The mistake I made was scanning the channels in before making adjustments to the keys. The blindscan gave sime insight on this as the newly "blindscanned" channels were the only ones working. I delleted all previous channels and rescanned (not blind this time) and presto! the channels all started showing.

I noticed the keys didn't need to match exactly. In fact some were as much as 4 units off (03974 vs 03978) yet the decyrption worked. That means the trick was to have the keys before scanning the channels. Tweaking the keys after scanning the channels didn't work for me.

All these good samaritians answering question on IS20c that has already been treated in d previous pages.pls stop derailing the forum u have been warned.

my 1,8m dish used for arabsat ( irib ) with 86% on aljazeera for 4922. I removed the dielectric plate and want to use it for Is-20 on 68.5east. skewed at 10am looking from front of dish, and strong 4669x , I have been tracking since 10am with tips 4064 h 19850, aljazeera. and 3900 h 26597 and 3900 h 22222.

The lnb skew is wrong, the 0 must be at 12 0"clock. To make the job easier attach Ku lnb and track IS20ku using nollywood tp. make sure you get the highest signal. Replace with Cband and fine tune to highest signal
