My dear. The time frame matters a lot. Because within 5years she can have all kids and be done with all that. And what if the CO says she won't cont with payment. He can never know because she may still have 3years left of paymenttaking chances with this kind of thing isn't always good. Taking a payment plan is a good thing but make the plan span a shorter time. That's why I used the word *May* Nita2013: 2 Likes |

Please I have a question to all the mamas/papas who have used british airways and have needed to make changes to their tickets. Please what were the charges like? Someone has said that it can be quite high because they also add the difference in fare between your old date and the new one? (The way my stomach turned when I heard this ehn....Strong shit hooked me....LOL)Any one with this experience please shed more light biko. I have bought my tickets already (Bought when it was really cheap) and now I may have to change my return date and im so worried cos id be changing tickets for 3 people! Please help a sister out! |

twingirls: Showing is no problem as long as you are paying your bills in the USA. You need letters from a health clinic or hospital showing costs and preferably accepting you as a patient. If you pay some money up front that is better. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by mammabear: 1:54pm On Aug 25, 2015 |
You should begin your visa processing sometime very soon to secure a timely interview date. You must plan to declare your pregnancy and plans to have your baby in the USA. And be prepared to show the necessary documentation such as doctor's letter, etc. Be wary of staying with friends and family in the US. While they always have the best intentions at heart, the stress and hectic work schedule in the US does not give room to accommodate a pregnant mom for too long. The stress of having to house, feed and drive someone else on top of the usual bills (e.g. mortgage, insurance, utilities, car note) and limited time can cause emotional and financial stress and they may act out on you. Also some of them will wrongly advise you to take Medicaid, and if you declare you can afford to pay they will get jealous, because truth be told most of them don't have and can't save as much. I know most responses here will tell you to take pen and paper and start reading over 400pages, though. I did that myself and found it very helpful, but time-consuming. You can PM with any questions. twingirls: 11 Likes |

Nasadiva:Ask @ lollyberry, he contacted them sometime ago but there price was so high. Are they same pple with "urban living...."? I guess you want to use houston North west hospital. I actually wanted to use them but nobody is offering accommodation close to them except hotels, and I can't afford to be lonely since am going alone, so I had to switch. Buses ply that route from soulcr but e go be missionary journey cos you have to take about 3buses to get der for appointments. |

Mum2bee: I was charged about $130 to change to an earlier date. It all depends on how much the fare will be on your intended date of travel plus taxes and all. Call BA directly to get a quote for your date. |

Hello dear people, Sorry, this is coming late jare but I have had my hands very full. I had my gorgeous princess about 2 weeks ago! It was an amazing experience. My hospital and OBGYN were amazing! I got great care. I did, however, keep asking what was free or not...lol, remembering what I read here. I got charged $360 for a false labour trip to the hospital. The care though was amazing. I was given some packs of Pampers, wipes, disposable panties, pads, tubs of Tucks (fantastic for post partum stitch healing), sheets to protect bed, baby bag, going home set for baby, a few other clothes, belly binder, etc. As each nurse took a shift, my friend and I would request for more supplies...hospital cost covered it nah..lol. We were discharged the next day, now awaiting my zero balance from them. A big thanks again to all of you who shared their stories here to educate and guide us. Now in the documentation stage - abeg MamaTobenna, OMary83 and other mummies who gave birth in Cali, how long does it take for BC to come out o? Because these people are telling me 15 working days. How did you ladies do yours please? Did you get expedited? 3 Likes |

Hi Guys, My wife gave birth to our Son at Houston NorthWest Medical Center almost 2 weeks ago. So thankful to everyone here that has helped with information one way or the other. Special thanks to @oresmum and @domrita. God bless you all. Our Doctor, Glenn Morgan was great and did a wonderful Job. The nurses that tended to my wife were great, and overall I would say it's a hospital I would recommend to anyone. Freebies to get us started like a starter breast pump, belly waist band, similac, baby starter clothes, etc were given. Currently we are 'free-er' what with tending to baby and trying to chase his documentation. And so far we have his BC and Passport but i'm having a hard time getting through to Tanko. Can anyone here (maybe you have mentioned before and I missed it) offer an alternative to processing his Nigerian Visa or a better solution like a passport instead without travelling to New York?? Please any advice would be appreciated as we have limited time. 3 Likes |

Dear Mama's and Papa's in d house, I recently joined this forum and with great plans of having my baby in the US. Patiently gone thru the thread and couldn't get an info on hospitals around San Jose area in California. Well after several shouts and pleas for info I decided it's time for me to take the bull by the horn and find something for myself. So I tot I should share what I've got incase future San Jose mama's come on board. Contacted 3 hospitals and got the following quotes from them: El Camino hospital- $6000 2 nights stay for mum and baby O'connor hospital - $5,500 for 2 nights too Good samaritan hospital -$4,800 The financial counselor I spoke with at Good Sams offered to help out with docs that accept self pay patients and got me one dr Karen Kohurt who gave a bill of $2,200. Well I'm still searching and praying that a get a better deal though I've been told that I can't anything lesser in that area. I hope this helps and Pls if there is anyone with an info that will help biko share. Mbok 13 Likes |
