ladyF:why will a gentleman's private life be a subject of discussion in an enlightened forum like nairaland. I don't think its right at all as far as this habit doesn't constitute public nuisance. Obama smokes and it doesn't constitute any subject of public discussion. I don't know drinking responsibly with friends as we can see on the pics turns to a social vice. No doubt PMB drinks cow milk and it doesn't generate any heat so why will jona's henesy abi kaikai become a problem here 1 Like |

McTobe: First of all, everybody drinks cow milk, even you Second of all, I believe this thread is in response to Reuben Abati's claim that Jonathan does not drink. I don't believe anyone would randomly ruminate over the issue because we are a drinking country. Abati was only unknowingly campaigning against Jonathan again with his runny mouth. 1 Like |

nigerianvenom: Since you know so much why did you ask me question? You saw where I clearly stated that the language is called oro and the geographical location is called Oron. That's what's important and yes the two acronyms can swing both ways. The same way you'd say Nigerian nation. But Nigeria is not a language is it? Gerrit? |

iamrealdeji: Oga please quit all this your I-grew-up-being-exposed-to-foreign whatever. It's a big SHAME that you know so little about the geographical entity of Nigeria. How could you call SS Igbos? Yes there are a few Igbos in Delta and Rivers but 85% of us are not anything Igbo. Don't mind all what the biafrian wannabes are saying here. If you want to know more about Nigeria go to a good online portal or a good library! This is why I created this thread for people like you to learn more about the SS https://www.nairaland.com/2516828/south-south-nigerias-pride-through/7#2516828.233 |

fulanimafia: A man that had no clue of the corruption going on under him for 6 years, had no clue his ambassador was sacked for weeks, He had no clue about corruption, and was able to introduce these measures as chronicled by his own critic... Jonathan carried out the most positive loot recovery without making noise about it. Facts emerging from the seat of power after his exit shows how baseless your assertion is. a man that initially denied the Chibok kidnap to go dancing, and then host their grieving parents later is clueless. A man that.... Didn't your Saint Buhari do same 2 days after he was sworn in? Need I remind you that there are different schools of thought to this whole kidnapping shenanigan? The opposition had its work cut out for it. Of course it did. We saw a birthing of hate politics like never before. What about the lies and propaganda which beseiged our airwaves and social media. Nice job I must say. It should also have occurred to you I'm not a newbie on NL so this is not my first moniker, that said, I can neither confirm or deny the stated moniker as that would be in contravention of RULE 19. Sweetlemon: Oga, wat happened to the $2.8billion that disappeared under Buhari's watch as NNPC chair during OBJ's regime? That 2.8billion will surpase whatever amount that was lost in the whole of Jonathan's tenure, judging by how much inflation must have pushed that value up for almost 40 years now. Why did Buhari transfer monies illegally into the military account (Abacha's loot facilitator) under Abacha's regime and he still didn't have the slightest shame for saying that Abacha didn't steal any money?? Your saint Buhari is one of the most corrupt human being to have ever lead this country and still holds the record for the most autocratic (tyranny of the highest order). So Jonathan is a leaner where he is. |
Re: Picture Of Jonathan Drinking At An Event by PassingShot(m): 10:41am On Aug 26, 2015 |
francizy:Proof please. Provide evidence of that or remain silent forever. This lie that didn't stick for more than 30 years will not stick now. Why did Buhari transfer monies illegally into the military account (Abacha's loot facilitator) under Abacha's regime and he still didn't have the slightest shame for saying that Abacha didn't steal any money??I got no idea what you're saying. Your saint Buhari is one of the most corrupt human being to have ever lead this country and still holds the record for the most autocratic (tyranny of the highest order).Even, your ogas in PDP had to swallow the humble pie when they declared that "Buhari is the only CLEAN person in APC". https://www.thecable.ng/pdp-buhari-clean-apc And you must know that for PDP to come out and say that in the open, they must have exhausted their efforts to wrap just anything on the man's integrity. 3 Likes |

fulanimafia: Well, that is where I blame him greatly. He left his people just because he wanted to please you guys up north and even st that, you all were never satisfied. Most of what he did was up north and I know if he was a Hausa/Fulani, you people wouldn't have thought twice before voting him against Buhari that left office long ago and never had any impact on the lives of the homeless children up north. How many times did Buhari clamour for the welfare of those children? How many of them did he ever sponsor to acquire skills/knowledge? How many did he buy text books for? How many parents did he advise against the habit of having children and dumping them on the streets in order to fend for themselves? Buhari is not and can never be better than Jonathan. Take or leave it. |
Re: Picture Of Jonathan Drinking At An Event by Sweetlemon(f): 10:43am On Aug 26, 2015 |
francizy: Buhari was the NNPC chairman NOT the president. There is a limit to what he could have done to fight corruption under a military regime that isn't his! To properly and fairly judge him, how much got missing under his own regime? |

Re: Picture Of Jonathan Drinking At An Event by MizMyColi(f): 10:46am On Aug 26, 2015 |
Sweetlemon: Let's assume all you say is true. What is Buhari waiting for? Why hasn't he recovered these monies? What steps has he taken? All we see are probes hullabaloo and media shenanigans on who will be probed and those who destroyed the economy. And to think that Shehu Garba has come out to say ''Nobody is Under Probe Even Dr. Jonathan'' leaves much to be desired as to what this admin has been doing the past 90 days or thereabout Btw, hear Okonjo-Iweala It is Strange to Say $20 Billion is Missing from Excess Crude Account On the missing subsidy funds, hear Jonathan himself
On the Missing Pensions Fund...I'll have to remind you that it was an alleged case. Hear Okonjo Iweala. No money is missing from Police Pension Fund – Okonjo-Iweala - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/03/money-missing-police-pension-fund-okonjo-iweala/#sthash.jl0ECqeO.dpuf Having postulated these above, I have always held the position that, unlike you, Buharists, I do not believe that GEJ is a saint who is incapable of doing wrongs and mistakes. However, I celebrate him and all that he represents to the Nigerian Democracy and Dream. A feat your Saint Buhari is yet to achieve, but is rather consolidating on while preaching change. Talk of double speaking and bare faced hypocrisy! 2 Likes 1 Share |

MizMyColi: My dear. All these things you've said just proves how weak Jonathan is. Always shifting blames instead of taking responsibility. So money could get missing and transferred under his nose? Sweetlemon: No swerree, don't disgrace Saint Buhari more by speaking like a naivete. Jona is supposed to be everywhere at a time, right? The fact remains that he did what he could to salvage the corruption situation. The footprints are there for all to see. We await change according to Buhari's body language to do things differently. |

PassingShot: please, enough of this shyt.. Everybody is looking for favour or support and it then seems like the only time anyone can gain that support is when they acclaim that corruption personified Buhari is a saint. Lemme help you analyse statements from Wikipedia: In March 1976, the Head of State, General Olusegun Obasanjo, appointed Buhari as the Federal Commissioner (position now called Minister) for Petroleum and Natural Resources. When the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation was created in 1977,[22] Buhari was also appointed as its Chairman, a position he held until 1978. During his tenure as Commissioner, 2.8 billion Naira allegedly went missing from the accounts of the NNPC in Midlands Bank in the United Kingdom. Former President Ibrahim Babangida allegedly accused Buhari of being responsible for this fraud.[23][24][25] @bolded, If the money didnt disappear, why was there lapses in the account after investigation? Is it safe to say that Fela was right about the committee being a sham one from a northern man doing favour to another northerner (Shagari to Buhari)? Is that why Buhari paid back this favour to Shagari when he toppled his government, rather than lock him up, he placed Shagari at the comfort of his home while every other person other than Emir Gwando was locked up? From the same Wikipedia: A 1998 report in New African praised the PTF under Buhari for its transparency, calling it a rare "success story".[59] However, the same report also noted that critics had questioned the PTF's allocation of 20% of its resources to the military, which the critics feared would not be accountable for the revenue. @bolded, little wonder Abacha was never corrupt nor stole any money, according to Buhari. |
Re: Picture Of Jonathan Drinking At An Event by francizy(m): 11:10am On Aug 26, 2015 |
Sweetlemon: So he was free to aid other's loot and still be seen as a saint? If I steel money from people directly and give them to you, are you supposed to absorb the blame alone with me seen as not guilty since I'm not the final benefactor? |
