The above systems approach to the Islamic aqeedah (creed), is a basis for the approach to the Islamic law and its philosophy, which we intend to look deeply into in Mica Institute 2- days short course.

We live in an age dominated by instant information. At the click of a button, we receive a deluge of data; some accurate, some inaccurate. When it comes to Islam, the onslaught of different opinions and analyses, combined with our lack of time to digest it all, can wreak havoc on our faith. We are left confused and frustrated, wishing there was some way to understand and filter all the rulings that are said to constitute the Shariah. This course was designed to do just that.

The term Shariah Intelligence was conceived to refer to the unique knowledge and skills required to think in a manner faithful to the objectives and approaches of the Shariah. SHARIAH INTELLIGENCE is a new course resulting from the need to handle the distortions of faith among contemporary Muslims which arise from the neglect or lack of understanding of Usul al-Fiqh (Principles of Jurisprudence) and Maqasid al-Shariah (Higher Objectives of the Islamic Path). These are fields that regulate the conduct of ijtihad or (juristic reasoning ) when responding to new realities and challenges. This course is not intended to qualify participants as experts but rather, as learners on the path of righteousness.

The eminent Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah once said that the field of Usul al-Fiqh and Maqasid is a large city. If this is so, then going through this course will be like a hurried walk through the main street of the city, just a quick introduction to a highly expansive territory. Nonetheless, we believe that the glimpse we get is worth the walk. May our journey be blessed!

Knowledge is light. The absence of the knowledge of true principles of Islam has lead to religious extremism, intolerance and violence in the world. This course is aimed to curb extremism in all forms by indept understanding of the message of Islam.
