I took time out to read and make sense of what IBB said as his reasons for over throwing GMB in 1985, and lo I find some sticking resemblance in character, body language policy direction and pace. Those statement is as a matter of fact reflected today on how PMB is currently running the nation, which begs the question, can a leopard change its spot?

The facebook twitter generation refused all the pleas from those of us who were ACTUALLY THERE during Buhari's first stint as Head of State. We know exactly what happened then, all he did was throw southern politicians in jail for 30 years, harass Pa Awolowo and clamp down on anybody who dared to criticize him. In the almost 20 months of his govt, there was not one sound economic policy of note.
Indeed history now repeats itself, but hey, that's what you guys voted for, so you best get used to it!

Repeating the mistakes of the past in the present is a sign of poor understanding of history.
