ssaengine: The own of a company is a business man, he can say what ever to make the world see him as a guru. He doesn't have to be a weapon specialist to run the company. There were many expertise in Nigeria at that time why is it that only Barlow was trying to create name. Nonsense. |

COIN has a lot to do with local security agencies. More than half of fight against terrorism as to do with gathering intelligence. Barlow trianed the SSS and police as well because they all have a lot to do NE. He simply came to Nigeria for a purpose which is to train troop on how to use newly acquired equipment in the fighter. The amount of troops he trained is not even enough to take a local government. Barlow is a business man and wants to make name. |

ssaengine: Glory thieves. Nigerian military procured new equipment becos they needed them in the fight against the insurgents, most of which were Russian. Barlow was given a 3 months contract (jan- mar) to train a small group on few newly acquired equipments. What will those that trained most of the military men that used the tanks and other heavy equipment say even our neighbors. Nigeria own the master plan not Barlow Ole. Remember Nigeria already prepared for the attack since late 2014 when they complain their equipment might not get to Nigeria on time until early 2015. That was even b4 Barlow started his contract. There were others training majority of our troops before the six week started. Nigerian military declared the six weeks operation not Barlow eeben. Nigeria troops started taking over territories in January which was taking place in different locations at the same time. If you think nigeria military were not good on their own how will Barlow train a strike force in less than a month. How long do you think it will take them to get used to the new system in the first place. If you think it is possible go to Benin Republic, pick 200 of there soldier and train them in 2 months. Eeben Barlow was only looking for recognition. Boko haram is a strong terrorist group why will any right thinking military not give him credit if he was truly the game planner. Why was his contract not renewed if he was the game planner. Ole osi. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

iblawi: http://sofrep.com/40623/eeben-barlow-speaks-pt-2-development-nigerian-strike-force/ Read and educate yourself. If you know who/what sofrep is, you would appreciate the legitimacy of what is contained there. Enjoy the reading. Hope you learn something new today. I will not even get into the "we needed new equipment" story. It is a waste of time and data. This thread has been going on for years. Nigerians have been claiming how they would combat the SANDF, listing all equipment and posting pics. Why was there a need to huridly go buy equipment to combat Boko Haram? New tanks, new MRLS's etc etc. Why not use the equipment you've been showing us on this thread? If SA and Nigeria had hypothetically gone to war last year, you would have asked us to wait a few months while you logged onto Amazon.com to buy new tanks? Waste....of....time. 1 Like |

Patchesagain: Patrick, you are pathetic! So what is the Navy's fleet? The Nigerian navy has over 400 vessels in it's fleet. If half of these vessels are operational, it leaves the Navy with over 200 vessel in operation. Patrick, over 200 vessels operational is still 10x more than your soweto fleet. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

DictatorZAR: US still has six of those vessels in service. They are still doing great. It is a normal thing in Nigeria for the military to claim their equipment need maintenance because that's the way they force the government to release enough funds for their operations. Don't get it twisted. I keep telling u guys apart from your 4 Frigates and 3 submarines every other thing you have in your navy is as old as ARADU. |

Henry120: Hahaha So now the Nigerian Navy has 400 vessels? Prove it! Your navy can't maintain a pathetic fleet of simple speed boats! Henry120: You are really pathetic!!! What do you understand about more than half? NN can never have a fleet any close to 400 young man. That means NN with more than half of its fleet down, it cannot fulfill its constitutinal obligation and is down and out. Any navy under such conditions would not stand at anything and will literally fail. |

DictatorZAR: Fool, the whole world published that story and called the man a Boko Haram member and the world believed it, yet you as fool think I am responsible for what the newspapers publish all over the world... http://www.newspunch.org/see-photo-of-arrested-boko-haram-fighters-disguised-as-woman/ Anyway, the man is only proved to be an INFORMANT-SPY.....show us his Nigerian army identity card to prove otherwise . The only cowards we see are SANDF troops in Sudan who urinated in their p.ants when they saw Sudan skinny boys drive Toyota around their base going innocently on Ramadan patrol. South African troops decided to surrender without a fight ! Nation of cowards and chicken soldiers ! |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 4:57pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
mzilakazi: I have seen combat academy in American Mojave desert far better than what you have in South Africa. No combat academy allows tanks to fire on tanks and artillery to fire on artillery or jets to fire on jets. You know nothing about it, what they do is MILES ON MILES infantry training with laser/alarms/man-marker fake bullets/etc and the aim is to show individual soldiers the chances that they get hit and die in close-in hand to hand man to man combat. Your SANDF is just using rifles to mark each other's uniforms to show who was hit, fools are shooting rifle at fools, cowards on cowards, your battle school infantry men still fear Sudan boys in Toyota. SAAF jets and helicopters have been shown in photos dropping bombs on empty space, sand and stones, hitting nothing ! Why don't your aircraft simulate a real battle and drop ammunition on your army who can fire back with anti-aircraft weapons like Boko Haram fires on Nigerian jets and helicopters in real life combat? Nigeria does real live combat with air force and army weapons killing real enemies, not pretending in a battle school where the trainees know that the enemy is fake and nobody will die from fake bullets, your combat academy products are the same men in Sudan that realized that Sudanese boys can kill with Ak-47, and the useless battle school training did not give SANDF troops the courage to fight, they agreed to surrender if Sudan boys fire rifles first....Southies train cowards who remain cowards after all the fake training like theater arts on drama stage . |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 5:04pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
agaugust: Thanks, Can you tell me what do you meet before you enter the main entrance of Mojave desert battle center? That is so protruding that it can never go unnoticed. Apart from everything else about what you commented is untrue. Tanks and everything else that is used in offensive by the land troops is used in battle centres. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 5:13pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
DictatorZAR: Your training in South Africa produced soldiers who decide to surrender when they see Toyota loads of Sudanese boys, what will they do is they see Nigerian troops with T-72 tanks ? Yes Nigerian army and air force fought in Angolan bush war and also trained ANC freedom fighters who now rule your country, that source was published here this year, clear historical account from the Nigerian military HQ, we trained you and fought for you cowards . |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 5:16pm On Aug 28, 2015 |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 5:18pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
agaugust: The man is clearly a soldier. Nigerian soldiers have a reputation of succumbing to a great deal cowardice and transforming themselves into women on the run. That is not new and what I see is that you are wasting your time trying to play spin doctor in what is already obvious. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 5:27pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
agaugust: Eeben complained that the western have detrained Nigerian forces by teaching them the wrong stuffs. Barlow, trained over 4000 Nigerian forces. No ways can only 100 be trained to face over 4000 bandits. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 5:34pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
agaugust: Under United Nations you can never be allowed to be heavily armed to withstand any heavily armed troops. That has nothing to do with cowardice. Let SA be involved in a full scale battle like Nigeria and be judged whether it has cowardice or not. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 5:38pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
FighterPilot: If those Rhinos are useless animals, why are you so worried about them you deployed a whole 21 battalion of SANDF and air force helicopters to fight save them? Why did you use aircraft to fly mere animals like VIP men to hide in escape to Botswana after the poachers defeated SANDF in your own homeland bush where your COIN and bush war tactics have failed you? Those Rhinos are your natural resources with money value of millions dollars made on Rhino horns in the world market. Same way if invaders from Zimbabwe cross border to steal your gold in illegal mining, will you say it's ordinary minerals not human beings? It is the moral duty, and constitutional duty of ALL MILITARY FORCES in the world to defend the territorial integrity of their country when foreigners violate your land from another country, yes the territorial integrity and independence of South Africa is daily violated by Zimbabwean Rhino poachers, that is a job for SANDF your military, not your Forest Ranger men, your national land is now being invaded and your natural resources of Rhino horns is being looted daily in a brutal bloodshed of the Rhinos. It is the duty of South African military to defend South Africa from armed foreigners, SANDF has failed at home, your COIN skills are ZERO and your Bush war tactics are a FAILURE in your own fatherland......thanks to your INEXPERIENCED ARMY and incompetent Generals Your South African military has NOTHING to teach Nigerian military, we have succeeded in real combat, you have NEVER achieved that. Read the story of SANDF current deployment in anti-Rhino operations and the failures.... http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=37561:sandf-ill-discipline-sticks-its-head-out-in-kruger&catid=111:sa-defence SANDF troops with MRAP in current anti-Rhino operations January 2015....Failure in Bush War on homeland . 1 Like |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 5:50pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
agaugust: In only one sentence. Soldiers are not meant to look after animals and that has been exhaustively deliberated upon and concluded that it is not our area of responsibility apart from only giving support. There is currently a directorate specifically created for that purpose on the bureaucracy where in a reaction force to deal with poaching shall result. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 5:51pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
