Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by TheBae: 11:55am On Aug 28, 2015 |
@Torishe is the visiting visa out yet? I sent them 3 emails daily for the past 3 days and the passport got dispatched today. If you're running out of time, i'll advise you to send them a COMPASSIONATE PLEA regarding the application and attach a ticket booking itinerary (you don't have to pay for the ticket). I know 3 people who have done this in the past week and got their visiting visas few days after 3 Likes |

You have obviously not been following this thread. I'll advise you to read back and see that medicals don't guarantee trv. I don't mean to discourage you or anything but facts are facts. Goodluck bolajibreeze: 1 Like |

berexio1:@tkdina's case myt have been ok/good enough, for the minimum requirement to cover for and also God's grace...but not all cases are the same, I guess that's why peep add more documents according to his/her case. I'm sure you know that already. Also here's a link dat can help potential applicants too. http://immigrationcanada.pro/canada-immigration-success/top-10-mistakes-that-will-sink-your-immigration-application/ below is a preview of one of the reasons in the above link(written by a canadian immigration lawyer). 1 Like

pls Ooo don't mind my foolish question. how can someone apply for scholarships with funding?. what are the steps do I just apply first then write an SOP or what.? pls I really wanna help some people without funds but they've got brains get here ... don't just know how to explain the scholarship thing to them.. thanks |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by sholay2011(m): 2:40pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
kennykentipsy:First, it is not a foolish question. I believe all scholarships aid funding. .. Is this for someone that's just applying to a school abroad or someone that's already there but believes he/she should have gotten funding? Can you be specific? 'Cos I believe you're in Canny already going by your posts here. Cheers! |

kennykentipsy:I want to assume they are applying to Canadian Schools. Hope their CGPAs (or most times their GPA in the last two semesters) are at least above 4.0? (For some courses that require GRE, a good GRE score wouldn't hurt at all.) If yes, then they should package a personalised, passionate and knowledge-based SOP in their application. By knowledge-based, I mean they should show they have at least basic knowledge of their intended courses, especially if they are going for Masters. They can refer to their undergraduate research project, talk about achievements in relation to the field etc. But before application, they can mail the advisors for their respective departments in their schools to know about the availability and their chances at getting funding. They can also contact specific lecturers in their intended department that their research areas interest them for advice and even, funding aid. Some schools automatically consider you for some scholarships as you apply for admission while some scholarships are specific to some courses with special requirements and must be applied for separately. But first, they must be well-informed before starting to write that mind-blowing SOP. It should be noted that my epistle is based on scholarships relating to the institutions. There are also external scholarships in which some Canadian schools are under them just like Commonwealth and Chevening scholarships have mostly UK universities under them. It's all about being informed. 6 Likes |

kennykentipsy:You are welcome. I have added a bit to my post. You can read the last paragraph. Their profiles look good...especially the project part. Upon all I have said, they can also support their applications with prayers. Protocols are set to be broken. |
