At least 56 persons have been killed in Nganzai town in Borno State in Nigeria’s volatile north-east region. http://www.metronaija.com/2015/08/boko-haram-kill-56-people-in-borno.html This is the banality of evil in Nigeria in full display. Since Friday, the main topic of discussion has been Buhari's appointments whilst many of the country's residents are focused on a cruder and more murderous existence. 1 Like |

Too bad. May God give the victim's family the fortitude to bear the loss. It will only get better. |

The military need to go out and get help from outside the establishment. What exactly are people still doing in villages ? is it not better to move people into defensible towns and concentrations so that the army is not stretched. Where is the alert system? You need more brains than weapons to win such a war . Weapons only reduces fatalities,it never wins war . All that show COAS driving a tank ,jogging and doing press ups is simply a symbolic gesture. The main task is how he utilises his resources and the job the military chiefs do before a shot is fired. I personally think that a strategy of going on the offensive with overwhelming force , with a force of sweepers made up of hunters , volunteers, vigilantes, police , SSS , civil defence operating behind the spearhead would work . 4 different army groups spearheading the effort . The other way is a special unit who goes in hard , hit and run . The problem is , the Nigerian army loves advancing by road ,the reason the Biafra war lasted 3 years, even though strategic victory had already been achieved within 6 months ,with the landing of the 3rd marine commando. |

We are win the war - buhari 2015 boko haram are our misguided brothers, not terrorist- buhari 2015 war against boko haram is a war against the north. their is no GEJ to blame again so I pity people who still resides in that war zone because our media are busy with politics and cannot tell us about their plights, like they did wen GEJ was in power. |
