Buhari, A Better Candidate Than Jonathan - Activist


Kayode Ogundamisi, a pro-democracy leader and a civil rights activist has said the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari is not a perfect candidate and no Nigerian is perfect for Nigeria.

Speaking in a recent interview about the presidential candidates in 2015 election, Kayode said with the choice we have today, comparing Buhari to President Goodluck Jonathan is like comparing light to darkness.

He said: “With Buhari what you see is what you get. His commitment to his country has never been in doubt, his records as military head of state creates fear in the minds of the corrupt, the drug barons and those who enslave Nigeria but it brings hope to those who want the best for Nigeria.

“My support for Buhari is based on my conviction that he’s a better candidate than Goodluck Jonathan and until a better candidate other than Buhari emerges, I am going to support his candidacy.”

Kayode, you have my respect for objectivity any day any time.
what makes a man is ability to say the truth no matter how hard it hurts.

i remember when you flew down from UK and hit the streets of Lagos campaigning for PMB.

Its becoming obvious that there is a careful plan to scam us and Gullible supporters will not wear their binoculars of objectivity to call a spade a spade. Sir kay, you are a man.

I have asked the opinion of my Northern friends on what they think about the lopsided appointments of PMB. I asked if they will take it if a Yoruba president appointed all Southerners as kitchen cabinet. the highly enlightened ones told me clearly that their people up north will take to the street to protest or unleash mayhem on southerners if its not addressed. As a supporter of PMB, i questioned his position and few friends called me a wailer. it doesnt matter. i know i never voted PMB or APC because i love them. it is about Nigeria and for that i will speak up when things go wrong. If federal character is skewed to favour the north in Education. Same should apply in all things.

and for the south East that they have left out. they are just fanning the embers of Biafra. To keep this country one, Equity, fairness and good conscience must prevail. You cant keep treating Igbos as outcasts and expect them not to shout Biafra.

I supported PMB against threats and obvious harm, he MUST keep to his promises or get ready for a backlash...This country is bigger than anybody or any region. I better wail OBJECTIVELY and hold leaders accountable than support blindly and before you say Jack. another four years is gone

Only a fake Buhari supporter will fault him. Based on 35 appointments out of over 1000. Some rif rafs are crying foul including the morron who posted this. In the same interview Lai Mohammed said it clearly that PMB engaged Chief Ogbonaya Onu the most senior Igbo SE person in his inner circle about this appointments and told him of how he plans to take care of the south-east as they are deserving of it. You are quick to point out Lai Mohammed talking about 100days but not the engagement PMB had with his most senior Igbo friend and party member. He heard very well and watched live on Channelstv when Mr Lai Mohammed said clearly " No time did PMB made any promises of a 100 days" even the 3 individuals and the millions of viewers couldn't hold him to that.. yet one attention seeker is attempting the impossible. Oya for God's sake show us any video or in print where PMB made the 100days promise of Magic. I saw a video of PMB not calling his Party name properly in the US, I want a video odf him making those specific 100days promises.
