The other day these Fulani herdsmen with their cows blocked a major Tared road in port Harcourt... And I wonder in which civilised country does this kind of thing still happening. Or we are not yet that civilised.
I guess is part of the born to rule syndrome at work, other wise what guts do they have to terrorise an entire community and if I may ask don't that community have youth that know how to handle guns and cutlass. Yes am very upset.
This herdsmen menace is not new yet our house of Assemblies can not come up with laws of that will fix this mess.
No more moving cows from place to place.
Keep them In a place and go get them their food.
Have a common market where they sell or transport them on demands. I tire ooo

I hear a lot of people accuse the ibos of being filled with hate toward other tribe, of being the problem of Nigeria. But, I have never heard of Ibos attacking other tribes in their land or outside their land. The ibo land is one of the most peaceful part of Nigeria, they pay their taxes and rents where ever they finds themselves, they relate well with their host. I see no reason why ibos should be seen as a problem in Nigeria.

The real problem are the fulanis , they look for problem where ever they go, they attack their host unprovoked, destroy farmlands and threaten any community they enters with death. They move around freely with guns. Nobody is talking about this herdsmen bloodsucking demons, their leaders are not condemning them, the press are silent toward their evil action.

Every focus and energy are been channeled on the ibos. The Ibos are hardworking pple who value life, they are not a threat, the threat are the fulanis. The fulanis are the real blood thirsty bigots . This set of pple value cow more than a human life

myworldtech:

You don't understand what is going now.Fulanis have the president at their backs. If you touch them the next minute the whole village will be swarming with soldiers.

Aareonakakanfo:
OLEH — Three persons have been killed and two others injured in renewed hostilities between Fulani herdsmen and residents of Okuke, a satellite village at Amorji in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The people of the community, it was gathered, had been at loggerheads with the herdsmen who they accused of destroying their farmlands and terrorizing them over the last three years.

An indigene of the community told newsmen that the herdsmen had threatened to chase the residents out of Okuke, a development which, he said, prompted Amorji to constitute a 15-man delegation to meet with them (the herdsmen) for a peace talk.

The community indigene, who craved anonymity, said the delegation was on the way for the peace talk when they were ambushed by herdsmen, who he alleged opened fire at them, killing three and inflicting gunshot injuries on two others.

He said one person was still missing and that those injured were receiving treatment at a hospital in Kwale, headquarters of the Ndokwa West Local Government Area, while the bodies of the deceased had been deposited in the mortuary.

He lamented that indigenes of the community could no longer go to their farms or markets in neighbouring communities for fear of being ambushed and attacked by the armed herdsmen.

Police statement

Contacted, Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Celestina Kalu, confirmed the killings and said the incident was a suspected reprisal attack.

She disclosed that a Fulani herdsman had earlier been reported killed in the community in the last one week.

Kalu said: “After some days, some of the villagers went to the police to complain that three of their indigenes were missing. A search party was raised and the bodies of three persons were found.”
Kalu said the command was trying to curtail the situation, and that efforts were on to bring the feuding parties together

Surprise Buhari turns blind eyes to these killings since his first 100 days. After talking to deal with this issue in his Inauguration speech

Boko Haram is not only the security issue bedeviling our country. The spate of kidnappings, armed robberies, herdsmen/farmers clashes, cattle rustlings all help to add to the general air of insecurity in our land. We are going to erect and maintain an efficient, disciplined people – friendly and well – compensated security forces within an over – all security architecture. - See more at:

I don't know which is worst, Fulani Herdsmen or Boko haram.
Fulani Herdsmen have killed a lot of people even before Boko haram was created.

This will never end until we split this failed experiment called Nigeria.
Northerners are cancers to Nigeria. They're parasitic, very incompetent, dishonest, evil, very corrupt and murderous! They are the main reason this country is a total mess today.

Guy can u ask ur self why is it only fulanis that are having clash wit many host communities, other tribes are there, can all the communities wrong ? Or it part of their laws to fight fulanis ?pls let find the solution of the root cause of the killings. If not boko haram is fulanis haba! Only in this so call one Nigeria.
ganye1:
Why is nobody condemning the killing of the fulani by the community and the authoriy's failure to do anything about it which led to the reprisal killings? The thing is that when the Fulanis are killed nobody talks about it but when they retaliate you hear all kinds of noises. we must not be selective in our comdemnation violence we must not be selective. Let us be fair and condemn all forms of violence.

They can't do anything. Basically nobody can do anything until we have state police with the license to dislodge this armed militia that have spread thruout the country.

Incaes you don't know, the herdsmen are using guerilla tactics to attack villages. Basically a hit and run tactics thats being employed by their cousins Boko haram. Its almost impossible to defend a town without a wall against determined attackers ( i maybe wrong though).

According to a report i read on twitter, these herdsmen also make use of chemical weapons. So they're well armed and will need any armed militia confronting them to be well armed too.

We must kickstart state police or be ready for war in this nation because all tribes will raise militias to themselves against these disciples of Dan fodio

that speech was not written by so don't expect him to even remember or abide by it. when you voted in a stark illiterate to be the president of west Germany, you should have known that's what's going happen, besides, he is a life patron of the miyetti Allah cattle breeders association and a Fulani prince. do you expect him to block the expansion of his people towards the south? haven't heard the well publicized speech of ahmadu bello that was even played on radio biafra? arewa secretary general professor ango abdulahi said that the north would capture power and it would never return to the south again. believe me. this is just one part of it.

Fulanis are more dangerous than 20,000 Tompolo & 100,000 Asari Dokunbo combined, if you attack them they won't stop until they kill everyone in that community; they're are heartless. They only fear 2 or 3 other tribes, they the fulanis will keep coming to attack that community and the surrounding communities: the Igbo community being attacked should take it up with the CP and the state government as soon as possible before it gets out of hand but if they believe they can get help to defeat the fulanis on their own, then they can try but they should know that the fulans can continue fighting for years. See jos & Benue as case study.

SOLUTION:
Fence them out.
The onus is on farmers to demarcate and protect their property (crops and land).
For example- If you leave an expensive bag or watch on the road in front of your house, then- 'finders, keepers'.

Those cowboys we know from western movies were a problem to land owners too.
The answer must be a community effort. Demand funding from the local government

PREVENTION-
Use wooden posts with crossbars to prevent access to cattle- they can't jump fences.
Place 'Private property, do not tresspass' signs at intervals along the fence.
Then employ 2-man patrols to cover 3/4 farm holdings and alert (by phone) when they site any tresspassers.

THE LAW:
It's your duty to give all potential criminals fair warning; it's also your right to defend your life and property.
You can then have ANY tresspasser arrested, or their property (cattle) confiscated.
But in all things, you MUST act as a community- strength in numbers.

Thereafter- No more whining.

These people have to be stopped from moving from one area to another, let them remain in their land since they can't stay without problem.
