wristbangle:lol. So the woman has a business or trade of some sorts right? Yet somehow the we believe the fathers alone provide fianacncial support for the family. You said you don't mind as long as it doesn't become a norm for you? So what if it does and you have to do that many times a week. You people better repent of this unnecessary and destructive pride that doesn't benefit anyone. I was in the clinic on Friday. Come see fathers who accompany their wives for prenatal checkups signing up for classes in baby care. Learning to change diapers, feed them, bathe them and what have you. Some who learned a long time ago teach others. They have the infants to themselves anyday the mom has to work or isn't around or just for the heck of it. It's their baby too. And they aren't jobless. They all have jobs too but manage to balance child care with their wives. Na for "face me I face you" in one slum in ajegunle you will see a father forming king of jungle towards his own little baby. Where's the love? Better repent y'all. 21 Likes 5 Shares |

cococandy: Hahahaha. Coco madam wan kill me with laugh. U see the thing is some ladies will take advantage of such situation as a bait to shoulder the responsibilities on their husbands. Too much of something is not good. Speaking of fathers accompany their wives to prenatal or natal wards, I can do that if I am off duty or take excuse from work except if I am running my business, then I can accompany her anytime. The fact that I can't accompany my wife today doesn't labelled me a bad husband. If she will give birth irrespective of my work (sorry to digress), na to abandon my work and see how my fine bobo or litlle daughter go look like. |

Your child is a SHARED RESPONSIBILITY. My father earned well o, yet he had time to teach me how to fry an egg, take me to school, pronounce words and wake me up to bath (he did that for all his kids). My brother changed Baby E's diaper and fed her last week. My other brother stayed with me in the delivery room and even took time off from work to care for her. Hubby is right now putting Baby E to sleep, after feeding her. None of those guys are doing badly financially. Their masculinity has not been reduced by 1% for caring for their blood. But y'all's manliness is challenged by being responsible for the human you helped create, to the point where you say "on my wife can't ask this of me often as she may abuse it", whose genes and last name does that child carry, that there will be a question of abuse when asking you to simply be responsible for your own flesh and blood truly the King of the Jungle in Ajegunle 23 Likes 4 Shares |

No her main priority is taking care of our baby, any other thing she decide to do she accept the repercussions, unless in cases such as accidents or emergency situations making her unable to take care of our baby,I simply call,my mum,my sister or one of her sisters...it a woman job,not a man's job.... #lifted |

cococandy: The new fathers in my office brag to tell us that they can care for their new babes alone (even if it is just feeding, carrying and changing of pampers ) My cousin had to pet his new born to sleep every night for the first few months (and yeah, he is a bank manager) It is only here you see every guy saying it is a woman's job, only men provide nonsense. I am sure all the women working put their salaries in their pockets every month Good morning dear 10 Likes |

Onegai: ....So true,i cant wrap my head round this 'oh i will only do it once in a while so she wont get used to it' mentality of some men'...Get used to what? ..superiority complex over the welfare of your own child/children again!..Pathetic indeed ..Some men simply have no business getting married and fathering kids honestly cos they simply do not know where to draw the line between forming silly ego and macho and being a responsible husband and father. 8 Likes |

wristbangle: Imagine!! So taking care of YOUR child all by yourself is now too much of a good thing? You better change this your she-will-take-advantage mentality. Is the baby not yours too? Why take care of him/her with a grudging heart? 7 Likes |

My own child? What you should be asking is if the child would miss mummy at all, while I'm babysitting. Of what use is a dad that can't spend time with his kid(s)? 5 Likes |
Re: Guys, Can You babysit Your Child For Few Days? by wristbangle: 12:40pm On Sep 01, 2015 |
MzCorleone: If I do that, what will now be the responsibility of my wife. I can babysit her for few days but for all days?? Who is going to provide the financial assistance for the upkeep of the family. Anyway dear I understand u are speaking from the emotional aspect but I am speaking from a logical perspective. |
